Ethan waited for Vera for two hours in the place they had chosen for the rendeiz-vous. However, there was no trace of her.

He tried calling her, but nothing. He dialled her number a few times until he lost all patience and reached the place where he had left her.

He called her phone again and again, but she didn't reply. He connected the traffic cams and checked what had happened. Unfortunately, most of the action had happened inside a dim building. He continued observing the video until a white van drove out from the gate and was lost in traffic.

So, they were already gone. Either they had a plan before meeting Vera, or they were well organised.

«Or both,» he sighed.

He left the car parked behind the corner and reached the gate where Vera had entered. Since the place was filled with cams, he had let his colleague go alone. But those people must also know about every detail of that road.
