Preparations

At five o'clock, Vera left the office in a hurry. She had a lot to do before the date! She had accepted without thinking twice, but it would have been better to postpone it by a day or two.

Neven said it was a date, so she had to look pretty. It wasn't just about meeting and seeing what was in store for them, following their emotions without regard for the consequences. A date was a serious thing.

First of all, she had to fix her hair. She couldn't afford to walk around with that mess, not even on streets where no one knew her. She hadn't felt much embarrassed because her concern was more on other things, but now that she knew her life was kind of safe, she could consider trivial matters too.

She needed a dress, as well. She couldn't go on a date with jeans and a t-shirt. Knowing Neven, he would choose a classy place.
