Vera and Neven went home soon after exploring Piazza del Duomo.

«Did you like it?» Neven asked her as soon as they had crossed the door. «Our time together, I mean. How was the date.»

«Fun,» she commented, moving her eyes away from him. He was already inquiring even though the date was not over yet. They were getting to the best part soon, weren't they? «It could get better, though.»

«Better? How?»

«Try guessing!» she chuckled. She grabbed his hand and pulled him closer, standing on tiptoe to kiss him.

«Vera, this...»

«Isn't this how dates should end?» she asked. «It's only natural...»

«No. This isn't wrong or anything. Just, don't feel pressured because we called it a date.»

«Neven,» she interrupted him. «It's just sex. It doesn't mean anything.»

«Doesn't mean anything?» he repeated, dumbfounded.

«Yeah. I'm not a fool. I know how the world works, and it's fine.»
