A simple case (1)

While Neven got mentally ready for his journey back home, in Vienna, Vera had a case. More than a case, it was just a chat with an old lady.

But it was the first time the client came to her and not the other way around. And she also could guess that private detectives got a lot of similar jobs: things she could solve in a few minutes.

She wondered whether she had to drag it longer to extract more money from the client, but she couldn't imagine Neven instructing his employees to be slow.

Also, she didn't feel like going to him and asking. Since their date, she had become more conscious about herself around him. She would blush every time their hands touched by mistake, every time he did something nice or chivalrous, like opening the door for her... Every time their eyes met, which happened more and more often when they were in the same room as if they were searching for each other even unconsciously.
