Discovered

Neven waited for her reaction, but nothing happened. It was even worse than any other option.

She could burst out crying, accusing him of the worse - without being completely wrong, at that. She could shake in fear as if realising he was a dangerous psycho. She could scream in anger - and she would have been right to do so, most definitely.

However, she just sat on a chair in front of his desk, too calm to be true.

«Did I disturb you?» she asked.

«No... Of course not. We were supposed to see each other for lunch, so I was going to call you soon...»

«Sorry to disrupt your plans,» she sighed.

«Our plans,» he replied. «You agreed, so those were your plans as well. But we can still go to lunch, in fact. Would you like to?»

«Sure!» she said. Her tone was too energetic to be true.
