Zeno Exhibition Match

Jayr POV - Dragon Ball Universe, Zeno's Palace - Age 780

As expected the Grand Minister's announcement is met with great shock and disbelief among all the Gods of the Universes.

"What...!?"

"Huh...? A Tournament of Power?"

"S-Selected Members...?!" 

"E-Eeeeh...!?"

"I already know this is going to end badly..."

"I truly hope this doesn't end like that damned Hide-and-Seek Tournament...!"

The only exceptions are Beerus and Champa, who already knew that Zeno planned to host such a tournament beforehand. 

Beerus is covering his face with his hand while muttering in a resigned tone, "He really did it..."

Meanwhile, Champa snorts and comments, "I knew it... His suggestion to Zeno-sama back then has really come true..."

At one point, the old large pale-green robot named Mosco operated by the God of Destruction Mule loudly beeps like an Astromech Droid from the Star Wars Universe, "Beep! Beep!" which makes the Supreme Kai Eyre panic and shout, "M-Master Mosco... You can't speak like that in front of Zeno-sama...!"

This makes everyone focus on them as the Grand Minister asks, "Is there something wrong? Supreme Kai of the 3rd Universe?" which makes the old large pale-green robot Mosco look away while Supreme Kai Erye panic even more and stutter, "Ahh... No! Nothing at all!"

Zeno-1 realizes something is off and then focuses on him and with a blank face he asks, "What? What did you say?"

Seeing that the scared Supreme Kai of the 3rd Universe Erye can only honestly reveal in a scared tone, "Well... It's just... Master Mosco was worried about how little time there would be to prepare..."

In response, Zeno-1 tilts his head and asks in a genuinely curious tone, "Huh? Is it not okay?" but the Supreme Kai of the 3rd Universe, Erye, misunderstands Zeno-1's tone and panics even more as he waves his hand and shouts, "Ahhh... N-Not at all...!!"

At this point, the Guide Angel of the 3rd Universe Camparri steps in to cover this blunder by saying, "Please, forgive us, Zeno-sama... He was simply excited about how your marvelous proposal would be held so soon," which makes the pure Zeno-1 cheerfully exclaim, "Right? I can't wait."

Hearing that, Camparri silently bows while the Supreme Kai Erye lets out a sigh of relief and mutters, "Phew... We're saved." Before the Guide Angel Camparri whispers in a guiding tone, "Lying is also a useful skill to practice, Supreme Kai," which makes Erye chuckle helplessly.

Feeling a little mischievous, I snort loudly and say while calmly patting Zeno-1's head, "Don't believe them, Zen-chan! They do indeed believe that 5 tiks is just too little time. The only reason why they do not voice out their worries is that they are way too scared of you erasing them in case their concern upsets you."

Immediately, all the Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, and Guide Angels immediately stiffen as they focus their gaze on my with shock, apprehension, disbelief, and even horror, the only exceptions are once again the Gods from the 7th and 6th Universe who already knew about my existance and casual rapport with Zeno, nonetheless Champa, Beerus, Shin, and Fuwa still look somewhat scared by what is happening while Whis and Vados are simply smirking as if enjoying ongoing show and the same is true for the Grand Minister who is simply casually smiling watching this scene.

Zeno-1 ignores their reactions and turns his head to look up at me and ask in an even, blank tone, "Is that so...?"

With a smile on my face, I nod and say, "Indeed... but to tell you the truth, I agree with their concern that 5 tiks is just too little time and way too sudden to properly organize this."

Hearing that, Zeno-1 tilts his head and asks in a genuinely curious tone, "Why...?"

In response, I crouch down, look him in the eyes, and with an encouraging smile on my face, I gently explain, "I understand that you want to enjoy the Tournament of Power as soon as possible, but put yourself in their shoes for a minute... You have to take part in this very important tournament, but you have only very little time to choose a suitable team... Do you remember the first time we played Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3? How lost you were when you had to choose only 3 among those 50 characters? How many tests did you do to find out the perfect combination to create a winning team?"

Zeno-1 quickly nods and says in an excited tone, "Un...! They were a lot!" followed by Zeno-2, who comments, "It was confusing..."

At this point, my smile grows wider as I continue to explain, "Now, the Gods of Destruction, the Supreme Kais, and the Guide Angels are in the same situation, the only difference is that while you only had 50 fighters to choose from, they have an entire universe worth of them. While I'm confident that they already have a rough idea of the strongest fighters of their universe, I'm also sure of the fact that since this is a tournament you are hosting, they want to put on the absolutely best team they can, and 5 tiks is just too little time for that."

As soon as I finish saying that, Zeno-1's eyes open wide as he realizes the truth behind my words and plainly exclaims, "Ah...!"

At this point, I calmly suggest before he can ask someone else, "Since you understand their difficulties, I suggest you just give them a little bit more of time, instead of giving 5 Tiks to create their teams, give them 21 Tiks... It isn't all that much more time, but considering the overall competence of the Guide Angels, Gods of Destruction, and Supreme Kais, I think that it is more than enough for them to create the best teams possible. We can easily wait for that much time by playing some more games and watching some more anime."

While I'm saying that, I also think, '21 Tiks is equal to 168 hours in Earth's time, which is basically a week... More than enough time for all the universes involved to fully prepare for the Tournament of Power...'

In response to my suggestion, Zeno-1 nods and exclaims, "Okay!" before he turns to face the Grand Minister and states, "You heard, Jayr. Let's give them a little bit of time!" followed by Zeno-2, who cheerfully repeats, "More time! More time!"

The Grand Minister then smiles and announces, "As you have surely heard, Zeno-sama took notice of your concerns and graciously decided to grant you more time to fully prepare for the Tournament of Power. Thus, the Tournament of Power shall be held in 21 Tiks."

The Grand Minister's new announcement is once again met with shock, disbelief, and stupor by all the Gods present, even more so for those who only now took notice of my presence.

"Impossible!!! That person just made Zeno-sama change his mind!?"

"Who is he!? Is he a mortal like that other one?"

"No way!!"

"He can't be a simple mortal!! I can't sense anything from him!"

"That's right! If he didn't just casually talk with Zeno-sama, I wouldn't have even noticed his presence!! What the hell is he!?"

At this point, the Grand Minister, seeing that most of the people present are focusing on me, professionally introduces me, "Gods of the 12 universes. This person standing next to Zeno-sama is Jayr-sama. A very powerful Deity from the outside of the 12 universes under the rule of Zeno-sama. He is both an important guest and friend of Zeno-sama."

After my introduction, I casually wave my hand and politely greet them, "Hello there! It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Suddenly, the Grand Minister and I notice that Zeno-1 and Zeno-2 are talking among themselves, which makes the Grand Minister ask, "Is there something the matter?"

In response, Zeno-1 points at Zeno-2 and says, "The other me says he doesn't understand." baffled for a moment the Grand Minister lets out a "Huh?" before he realizes something and asks, "Oh, about the Tournament of Power?" to which Zeno-2 admits, "Yes."

At this point, the Grand Minister comments, "I see. Indeed, the Zeno-sama from the alternative future would have never seen one before."

Realizing that, the Grand Minister thinks about it for a few moments before he proposes, "Very well. In that case... How about we have a simple exhibition match right here and now?"

In response, the Zenos exclaims in perfect sync, "Oooohh!!" followed by a surprised Goku who also exclaims, "What? Now!? Here!?"

At this point, the Grand Minister says, "Let me change this into a stage," before he snaps his fingers, immediately changing our surroundings, creating a big, floating square ring in the usual Dragon Ball style surrounded by 16 floating platforms. 

12 of those platforms are for the Gods of the 12 universes, on the other hand, of the remaining 4, one is used by the Grand Minister and it is the closest one to the ring, another one is the biggest one and different from the others it is equipped with 3 thrones, one for me, one for Zeno-2, and one for Zeno-1, and the last two are used by the attendants of the Zenos.

The sudden change surprised many of the people present, especially Goku, who found himself on the 7th Universe's platform together with Beerus, Whis, and Shin, making him comment, "Ahhh! I got teleported here too!" before an upset Beerus starts to berate him, "Goku!! I told you over and over to be careful!!!"

But stops when the Grand Minister announces, "Now then, will all the Gods of Destruction please... Head to the stage." greatly shocking everyone of the people present.

"HUH!!?"

"What...!? US...!?"

"H-Hang on a minute! The Gods of Destruction will be participating in the Tournament of Power!?"

In response to that question, the Grand Minister calmly explains, "You are all inhabitants of your respective universes as well. So it's only natural that you would fight as their representatives, right?"

Hearing that, the God of Destruction of the 1st Universe, Iwan, comments in disbelief, "I-I can't believe this... Fighting amongst our fellow Gods of Destruction...?" followed by God of Destruction of the 9th Universe, Sidra, who comments, "It seems... The situation is changing."

Champa also complains out loud in panic, "Th-This is bad... I haven't done any battle training for decades..." making Vados lightly chide him, "That's because you were always skipping out on it, Champa-sama."

Soon, an impatient Zeno-1 says, "Hurry it up," which makes all the Gods of Destruction panic and quickly set foot on the stage before a somewhat nervous Quitela, the God of Destruction of the 4th Universe, asks, "O Great Minister. Exactly what kinds of rules will we be fighting under?"

With a calm smile on his face, the Grand Minister explains, "We will be deciding many things depending on how this match goes, so for now, you should all fight as if you were trying to kill one another. I am considering some kind of reward or prize for the God of Destruction that survives and wins." Before he sternly warns them, "By the way... any God that goes easy or doesn't perform... will be erased."

While the Gods on the stage are digesting the news and the threat, Shin on the 7th Universe's platforms comments, "They'll all be fighting at once...? What reckless rules..."

Shortly after, the God of Destruction of the 12th Universe, Giin, states, "I will not be erased by something like this..." before Quitela looks at Beerus and taunts him, "I see... This might be a good chance to prove once and for all just who is the greatest God of destruction, don't you think, Beerus?"

Beerus narrows his eyes and responds, "Stop always trying to lay it on... Quitela." but Quitela doesn't stops and says, " Well, you lost to me once before and yet you still won't acknowledge that I'm stronger than you." which makes an annoyed Beerus yells, "That was arm wrestling!! I wouldn't lose in an actual fighting match!!"

At this point, Goku wishes Beerus good luck, "You can do it, Beerus-sama!!" causing the already annoyed God of Destruction to retaliate loudly, "Ngrk!! Goku!! Whose fault do you frickin' think this is, huh!?" before he immediately realizes what he just said and exclaims, "Ah." creating an almost perfect, "And it was at this moment that he knew... he fucked up!" moment.

Having overheard, the Gods of Destruction set their sights on Beerus, as this is a repeated offense since the last emergency call, which almost ended with every universe destroyed, was also Beerus' fault.

"Was that... a Mortal from the 7th Universe?"

"It's his fault that this is happening?"

"The 7th Universe is causing problems again?"

"Beerus' universe..."

At this point, Quitela doesn't let the chance to mock Beerus again by laughing and saying, "Haahahaha... Looks like you've thrown some gas onto the fire... Now everyone will be gunning straight for you. On top of that, all of the Gods of Destruction had a grudge against you to begin with."

This is quickly followed by Belmod, the God of Destruction of the 11th Universe, who says, "Don't tell me you've forgotten, Beerus. The last time we had an emergency assembly, it was your fault that all the universes were about to be erased."

Hearing that, a curious Shin can't help but ask Whis what they are referring to, "Did something happen before?"

In response, Whis calmly explains, "Yes, before you became Supreme Kai. Zeno-sama proposed a game of Hide-and-Seek with all the universes as the playing field... In the middle of the tournament, Beerus-sama fell asleep for 50 years while hiding. And since Beerus-sama didn't come out at all, the tournament had to be suspended. Zeno-sama, who was obviously greatly looking forward to the tournament, became incensed with rage. In order to calm his anger, the other 11 Gods of Destruction went through great, great difficulties... Which is why they all bear a great grudge against him."

Hearing Whis' story, Shin can't help but exclaims in shock, "Whaat... I can't believe it..." followed by Goku who chuckles and comments, "Hehehe... Beerus-sama is such a troublemaker!" which makes Whis smile and comment, "Well, apart from that, he'd already given each of them their own reasons to hold a grudge against him."

Soon, the 11 Gods of Destruction had already surrounded Beerus, making him click his tongue in annoyance.

"Well, let's start off by pounding on Beerus..."

"Sounds great."

"Kukuku...."

Seeing that everyone is against him, Beesur snorts and states, "Hmph! You cowards! You can't do anything if you don't have a gang of your own? Bring it on, then! I'll take one of the lot of you!"

At the same time, the Grand Minister calmly announces the start of the match while all the Gods of Destruction back off a few meters while still encircling Beerus, "Well, then. There is no time limit, so we'll be starting. Let Zeno Exhibition Match... BEGIN!!!"

In an instant all the God's of Destruction rush off and attack Beerus at once though he manages to dodge each one of their attacks no matter what direction and angle they come from and all that without even using his eyes to look at his opponents making Goku exclaim in surprise and shock, "He dodged them all!! How!? Does Beerus-sama have eyes in the back of his head!?" before he realizes something and asks, "Whis... Could this be...!" which makes the Guide Angel smile and calmly state, "His body is reacting and dodging on its own." 

Hearing this brief exchange between them makes me also realize that Whis has likely already started teaching them about Autonomous Ultra Instinct, a very rare and highly advanced mental state. 

It is notorious among the Gods of this Universe for being exceptionally difficult to master, even for them.

This ability can only truly be used once the transformation that enables one to utilize it is achieved; this transformation must then go on to be completed and further refined, it is, however, possible to utilize this ability, or its principles, to a limited degree without the transformations. 

While I realize that, the retreating Beerus is caught by Mosco, making Goku exclaim, "Aahhh! He got caught!" followed by Whis, who calmly comments while enjoying the battle, "But even Beerus-sama hasn't perfected it yet."

Seeing that, Quitela, Champa, and Rumsshi take advantage of this to attack him, but before they can hit Beerus, he escapes Mosco's grasp, making the three Gods of Destruction hit and knock down the old large pale-green robot piloted by Mule.

Then seeing a shadow rising quickly rising up in the air makes Giin immediately exclaim, "Up there!! He's above us!!!" before he, Belmod, Sidra, and Arak quickly chase after it but once they are close enough they notice something and Arak exclaims, "Wait, it's Champa!!"

At the same time, Beerus comes out from underneath Mosco, laughing out loud while mocking them, "Hahaha, that was a decoy, fools." before he fires a massive Ki Blast at the other Gods, "Now... Eat this!!!"

The Ki Blast hits its target, causing a devastating explosion up in the sky, which creates a thick cloud of smoke, making the Zenos watch the scene with their usual blank gaze, which, however, does not hide the interest and curiosity that they feel. 

Meanwhile, Goku, seeing the power behind that Ki Blast, comments, "Wow... Beerus-sama isn't going easy at all, is he? Are they all even still alive?" followed by Whis, who calmly reassures him, "I'm sure they're fine."

Soon, the smoke in the sky clears away, and it is revealed that they are indeed fine as Sidra was able to protect them all by using an energy barrier, making the Grand Minister comment, "A barrier!"

At the same time, Sidra lets out a huge sigh of relief while Giin thanks him for his act, "Thanks, Sidra... that was a close one."

Hearing that, Sidra turns his head to look at his fellow God of Destruction and with a while he states, "Hahaha! No one can top my shielding spee--"

Belmod suddenly takes advatage of Sidra's distraction to kicks him on the back of his head sending him crashing against one of the nearby floating platforms before he casually says, "Sorry. But you were so totally open." which makes Giin send a glare in his fellow God Of Destruction's direction and say, "Belmod... You!!" 

Belmod grins evilly and says, "It's not like Beerus is our only opponent here... Only one of us can be "The Strongest." This is no time to be helping each other."

Hearing that, Quitela laughs out loud and exclaims, "Hahahaha!! Nice!! Now things are getting interesting!" followed by the Grand Minister who calmly comments, "Now the real survival game begins."

At the same time, Zeno-1 excitedly says to his other self, "This is definitely gonna be exciting just like our battles in the game, so make sure you watch, 'kay?" which makes Zeno-2 agree, "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it."

With the match heating up, I hear Whis casually comment, "I wonder what will happen now..." which makes Goku even more excited as he asks, "You mean I'll get to see even crazier stuff!?" before he exclaims, "I'm getting fired up!!"

Hearing that, I can't help but smirk while thinking, 'Goku isn't the only one getting excited here... I am also very excited, but for another reason, I can't help but have the urge to jump down from this platform and join that battle... Even more so as I've finally been able to successfully recreate and pull off that special state. I'm very curious to test how THAT state compares with Autonomous Ultra Instinct. Maybe I should ask one of the Angels to spar with me, likely Vados as she is powerful enough, already know her, and more importantly, she is HOT... or even better, I should run another test run in a controlled and safe environment before doing that...' 

While I'm thinking that the Zeno Exhibition Match continues with Belmod who creates Imprisonment Balls around each of the Gods of Destruction, ensnaring them in an inescapable pale violet sphere of energy making Quitela shout, "Crap...!! We got caught in his technique!"

While his opponents are trapped, Belmod constructs cards of energy which he then throws at them, making Iwan exclaim, "Is he... Seriously trying to kill us...?"

As all the Gods of Destruction are doing their best to defend, dodge, or witstand Belmod's barrage of cards of energy within the limits of the inescapable pale violet sphere of energy, Liquiir curses, "Th... That Bastard...!!!" before he breaks free of his Imprisonment Ball by splitting his single tail into nine large separate tails and counters with his Tail Energy Cannon Barrage while yelling, "Eat this!!!"

At this point, the only thing that Belmod can do is cross his arms and endure the barrage of Ki Blasts which causes a impressive series of explosions, but that also make the situation much more chaotic and difficult to follow for those who don't have trained senses or are used to such a high level battle.

As expected, as Liquiir continues with his assault, Zeno-1 asks in a confused tone, "Uhh... Who did what now?" followed by Zeno-2 who admits, "No idea." but then Patamo who is still sitting on my head explains, "It is a bit confusing because of all those explosions and the high-speed of their movements, but at the moment the one who is attacking is that fox-like God of Destruction whose name I can't remember."

At the same time, the pissed off Liquiir continues to unleash his barrage while yelling, "Don't go getting cocky, Belmod!!!"

He is so focused on Belmod that he lets his guard down, giving Heles the chance to close in on him and say, "That goes for you too, Liquiir." before using a powerful Bow, she fires an arrow aiming at his head, but thanks to his insane reflex it only pierces the arm he quickly raised to defend himself. 

Seeing that, Heles smiles and haughtily comments, "As expected, your reflexes are as fast as ever," which makes Liquiir send her a searing glare while growling, "Heles... You dirty little who-"

But before he can finish, Rumsshi, the elephant-like God of Destruction, proceeds to let out a mighty, deafning yell, one so loud that even the very ground under his feet cracks unders such unbeliviable force while almost everyone else present stands stunned, unable to properly move, the only exceptions are the Grand Minister, the Guide Angels, Patamon, who is under the protection of my Spiral Cosmo, the Zenos, and I.

I hear a shocked and stunned Goku question out loud, "Wh-What just happened... My body's... Gone totally numb... I can't move..." before Shin collapses on the ground like all the other Supreme Kais, worrying Goku, who calls him out, "Supreme Kai!!"

At this point, Whis calmly explains, "Rumsshi possesses the loudest voice across all the universes. His Battle Roar is potent enough to render the motor nerves of anyone who hears it temporarily paralyzed. Which makes it powerful enough to knock out someone at the level of a Supreme Kai. Even the Gods of Destruction should be barely standing."

As Whis just explained, the battle cry affected even the other Gods of Destruction who were closer by, and Rumsshi then proceeds to attack them by charging them with ruthless tackles, clotheslines, and shoulder bashes.

At one point, the battle grows even more hectic with all the Gods of Destruction launching all kinds of attacks to the point that the whole arena is covered in a thick cloud of dust, making it impossible to follow what is going on using one's eyes alone.

With the current state of the battle, the two Zenos soon comment on being unable to see the action before them and begin to grow bored, making the Grand Minister say, "...I see. Then let's end this."

Meanwhile, back in the arena, Beerus and Quitela are the last two left standing, and just as they are about to attack each other, the Grand Minister intervenes, stopping each of their punches with a single finger and explains, "Your fighting is too intense for His Majesty to enjoy. Therefore, all the Gods of Destruction will be disqualified from participating in the tournament. This match is over, so you are free to withdraw."
