“Remember you still owe me one”

'Why would you send one while the other went on leave when those two were specifically ordered to take care of her? Who the hell chose the dress, then?' Alan's hazel eyes changed to dark brown.

Scott took control as Alan's thoughts were filled with Scott's inquiry. But it only lasted for ten seconds before Alan took over again.

James mumbled, perhaps in dread for his life, 'I did.' He was unable to tell if his Beta and older cousin would throw him off his chair one more time- he was more than pissed.

'Not you once more, man,' This time when Daniel muttered an expletive, Eleanor realized something wasn't right.

'They are doing it again! Looking at each other as if they could hear each other's thoughts,' Alan heard Eleanor as she had thought.

They appeared to want to punch each other as they expand their eyes and twist their lips.

Everyone was tensed, which may be related to the fact that nobody liked her. She scoffed at the final phrase as she continued to think, 'As if I care.'

Scott's shoulder lowered at that precise moment, blocking off everyone else so he could concentrate just on his mate.

Eleanor and his eyes briefly locked as he turned to face her. Elizabeth grinned as she noticed that both of them had flushed—their cheeks and nose were both red. Additionally, their ears had grown heated.

They looked away quickly. But not before they both experienced the bodily sensation. They seemed to have experienced a flash of lightning that made them aware of how stunning the other person was.

In a short while, everyone had finished their meals and was getting ready to get up from the table. Eleanor thanked Elizabeth for her generosity while grinning brightly.

'Andrew, take her outside. Let me pick my jacket first and meet you guys later,' Alan commanded his younger brother through a mind-link.

"This way," he told Eleanor as he gestured toward the door.

'Huh! Zero chance,' She thought as she eyed his hands suspiciously, 'You tied me to the chair when I was brought here,' but her partner could hear her and his lips were partially exposed by a small smirk.

"Don't worry, I'll accompany you, my love. I want to express my regret for how you were treated once more," Elizabeth apologized when she noticed the excitement in her eyes. She apologized subsequently. Alan had told them she didn't trust any of them and so their mother offered to walk her out.

Jordan arrived outdoors and joined Eleanor at a standstill.

"We apologize for how we handled you when you first arrived."

"You people kidnapped me; I didn't come here." She responded by yelling at him. Jordan was aware of her reason to do that.

"Yes, I do apologize," He then put his hands in his pockets and continued, "I didn't know things would get out of hand."

When Eleanor cleared her throat, his face was tinged with regret and confusion. He appeared to be deep in thought.

"I've also been thinking, you know. According to what I've heard, Alfredo and you are close friends, and you recommended holding a meeting with your brothers that day at the club. Why?"

That caught him by surprise. "Why are you requesting that of me?" He gave her a wary look.

"Oh please, don't stare at me like that. Your mother was somewhere you knew. We were instructed by Alfredo to entice the clients so they would not leave. He said that one of our VIPs ordered that, although Lolly and I never engaged in client seduction. We never danced for any clients but he asked us to do that! You must be the VIP. Are you insane?"

When he realized how furious she was, he hurriedly said, "Shh! How sorry I am, you have no idea. I was unaware that things would go out of control. Additionally, I was astonished by your composure.

"Composure as in calmness? I wasn't at ease! Do you realize how terrified I was in that dungeon? I can't help but replay those videos in my sleep. I already experienced too many nightmares; I didn't want to add any more. You're crazy!"

Everyone was likewise rushing around. "We nearly got into a battle with the other Packs—I mean, families. You may have just claimed ignorance of the situation."

"So you guys hurt my sister?" she asked. "No way, sir!" He was met by her backflip.

"We had no intention of hurting your sister in any manner. We do not belong to the Mafia. I also checked on your sister to see how she was doing."

She felt more at ease after hearing that. Her face began to relax as she asked, "Really? Did you see to it that she ate and rested properly? attended school?"

As she hurriedly demanded the questions, Jordan grinned at her. She said, "Thanks," and then reached out to offer him a hug.

"No, you won't want to do that, I assure you," As soon as he noticed her opening her arms to him, he instantly stopped her.

Since he went to her side, Alan had been observing them. He also didn't appear to be joyful. He watched them with furrowed eyebrows that were dropped. A war would undoubtedly break out if he hugged her.

Eleanor was happy to hear that her sister was okay but didn't understand why he had stopped her from hugging him.

"Right! You still owe me one, though. Remember that. Or else I can just go and tell your brothers you knew where your mother was," and Jackson laughed, causing her to join in.

Jordan understood that Alan would learn the truth soon. She was probably going to think it, and Alan could hear her.
