“You can’t get rid of me!”

"Sir Alan," Tracy whispered and he snapped his head to her side and his eyes stared at her with fierce resentment.

"Do you know why I'm not sacking you? It is because you have been here for more than ten years.

Please know your place as you are older and I expect you to behave as such.

If what happened yesterday happens again, I'll not only sack you but I will make sure you never find work anywhere," When Alan spoke those words, he tried to stay calm.

His hands were still buried in his pockets. He didn't look angry, he already had enough to be angry at.

Tracy nodded and even though she had no sense of shame about what she did yesterday, she still nodded.

She thought he had smiled at her, finally signaling he was ready for her.

A man like Alan only smiled like that when he was accepting an invitation and the only invitation she made known to him was what she came to give yesterday.
