Did Alan realize he had a disorder and had come to terms with it? How long had he been dealing with this? Thoughts flooded her mind as Scott assisted her in putting on the coat.

She was going to learn more about it and make sure she didn't do anything that would set him off.

Maybe their fight had contributed to Alan calling Scott, and she felt bad about it.

She admired Scott's calm and gentle demeanor toward her, but she also admired Alan's domineering demeanor; the good news was that both personalities belonged to the same man, even if they preferred to be addressed differently, and she adored them both.

"What is it with you and your plant obsession?" Eleanor found herself asking, and he paused for a moment before responding. Was it Alan or Scott who liked Plants?

"They make me feel at home," his simple response meant a lot to her.
