Tying the knot

A YEAR LATER

Eleanor wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep the night before their wedding; she had been counting the days with everyone close to her since the date was set as if it would never come.

They were impatient and indecisive, and they clashed over having a small wedding with only family members and avoiding the media.

Eleanor wanted only her family to know, whereas Alan wanted the entire world to know he was getting married and to whom he was marrying.

But none of this made them doubt that they wanted to tie the knot together.

They'd also looked for Eleanor's aunty and asked her to attend the wedding, but she'd only come if they paid her.

Alan and Eleanor only did that regarding her late mother. She was her mother's only family left.

That day, two events were taking place: the engagement and the wedding, which would take place soon after.
