Left alone

Throughout their ride back to the hut and when they got there, Alan had been acting strangely. Probably because of the call he claimed was merely permission they needed from him.

He kept tossing in bed and didn't even bother to touch or hug her while she slept. And when she tried having a conversation with him, she noticed he didn't find it interesting enough.

He kept pacing out, probably because he was mind linking his brothers. Why was she getting nervous?

Maybe it was because she knew her husband was not telling her the truth. Why was Alan pretending? Why was he hiding the truth from her? She already knew what they were about. Or were they going on another dangerous mission?

"Sweetheart, I'm going for a run. If I don't run farther enough, I'd return before dawn. Please sleep well and only dream about me," Alan finally whispered to her and immediately left the bed and walked into the closet, and came back in changed clothes.
