Someone he used to know

"Not at all, Mr. Gour. We own that land, and we demand that you give it up. We are ready to compensate you for tearing down one of your hotels.

If that bothers you, you can consult with a lawyer." Alan remained calm, which must have enraged the other man even more.

"Forget about your remuneration. Do you think you can trample all over me because you're big enough? Are you trying to buy one of my hotels?"

The man's nostrils were flaring, and Alan didn't like the tone he was speaking in.

Why would he want to buy his hotel when his family is already struggling with keeping up with the many they already had?

"As I previously stated, if you have a problem with that, you may invite your lawyer to..."

"I am an attorney! I don't need to call any." The man interrupted him before he could finish his sentence.

Alan examined him for a while. The pompous jerk!
