“It’s been more than three years.”

It had been three more years, and they still hadn't seen Alan. Three good years and so far the letters and gifts he had been sending to Eleanor could fill a room.

If she had been pregnant before he went away, that child would've grown up without a father.

"Yeah but with so many uncles and Aunties. And even grandparents." Lolly had answered her every time she passed that comment.

Eleanor was always whining about how Alan was still out there and not bothering to at least come home for just once.

At least he should've picked up a phone to call her. Was there no phone where he was? In this time where technology had reached?

They had given her the excuse that Simon couldn't go because Diana was pregnant. Their baby was two years and some months old now and Alan was still out there.

Something was fishy. Eleanor couldn't push that feeling aside.

Three good years.
