Chapter Twenty Seven.

It was noon already and the sun did little effort in concealing it's scorching hotness on them.

"So, it is as usual," Chantara was saying to Abel, "the gods are still the same."

"Worst." He replied. Abel was tall, slender and had eyes like fire. Though they were green as usual as the rest of the gods, his were a more pale shade. He was not so much close to Chantara, so the thought of having her around him made his heart to flutter a bit. Of course he wouldn't dare show it.

"And you know what your punishment will be if you do not return soon." She said, in a question tone rather than a statement.

"I don't bloody care. The gods are making a mistake. We should be together, restoring the hearth. But, our dear old Xerxes is thinking otherwise."

She pondered for a while, the words of Abel recalling in her head. He was right. "How did you even find me?" She asked and he only shrugged.
