Love him back

"Do you think Dionne's father has gotten wind of your plans?" Ben, who sat opposite Lucas, asked.

Lucas swirled on his swivel chair with his eyes closed and his hands joined together in front of him as he meditated. He was back in Greenville and a lot of work was left piling up for him but nothing stresses him more than the absence of Dionne's presence.

"He should know by now. It's his company after all," he spoke calmly.

"And you think he'll sit back and watch you slowly seep into his company?"

"What can he do? It's not like he can subdue the power of money. All efforts he makes will be futile against the money I'm willing to offer to those greedy shareholders."

"What about Dionne? She told you to leave her family out of this."

"She didn't spare my sister when she had the chance, why should I spare hers?" The calm way Lucas said it sent chills down Ben's spine.
