DREAM

Dionne ran out of the hotel and stopped just a few steps away from the entrance of the hotel. She bent halfway, her hands to her knees, as she panted for air.

She felt relieved when she breathed the air outside the hotel, she felt suffocated at the restaurant. Once her breathing stabilized, she looked around, unaware of where to go next. She turned back to see if Lucas followed her...forget it.

She was hurt, she wanted to cry, but she didn't. If only she had a phone...she could use her mom's company, or better still, Mr mask. She hadn't thought about him much these past few days, but she has never missed his presence as much as she did now. Her only friend.

She walked aimlessly for a few minutes before she found a bench by a fountain in the middle of a park. She took a seat and her stomach cried out loudly. She hasn't eaten anything since morning– that's if you count out the inedible food she managed to take a few bites of on the airplane.
