Chapter 48

Cracking his neck, Haru slowly turned to the army of the Fire Nation after he had knocked their leader off.

The firebenders thought that they had burned him. Haru found it funny. He hadn't even needed to build a wall to stop their attacks. He simply had gone under the ground and appeared in their midst.

Seeing the shocked expression on their faces, Haru decided to show them what true might is. The first line, without their general guiding them, took random stances and started shooting fire.

'Too weak, too slow.'

Their attacks weren't even combined. Their fear of him ruined their sync.

As he tapped with his foot on the ground, he raised along with a  9 meters high wall, trapping the firebenders.

The wall took the blast.

"I have said, I will show no mercy for those who attacked me earlier."

Activating one of his greatest skills, Haru flicked his finger. A giant boulder, with a diameter of 3 meters, appeared above him. Its temperature rose, and fire surrounded it.

Of course, he could create bigger meteors up to 7-8 meters in diameter now. But he didn't want to end up with the whole army. They had proven their worth when he had used them as hostages and human shields.

But for now, he would show them how small they are. He had them cornered, and thus, they will take his attack.

The firebender lifted their heads after their attacks hit the wall.

They saw the meteor behind Haru, and they freaked out.

The meteors descended so swiftly that it looked like a blur to them.

*Boom*

An explosion occurred, and the impact spread.

Those who had been near the meteor died, no doubt of it, and they were around 100-150.

Four lines of soldiers fell from the power of the impact alone and flew back.

In the middle, a deep hole appeared.

Haru looked at them, and he said. "Those who want to surrender, throw your masks and bow to me. If I have no response, I will kill all of you."

He was serious now. There is no reason for him to show mercy.

For so long, Haru had been holding his rage. He had a deep desire to kill them all since they wanted glory.

He had spied on them, and he knew that they were believed. They were willing to kill his people for a purpose called to glory.

Some soldiers started taking their masks off and bowed. They were a minority though.

"You dare to bow to an enemy, where is your honour?" Some fire soldiers seemed not to like that. They lifted their swords and were about to behead those who surrendered.

Haru, pointing his hands at the rebellious soldiers, clenched his fist. Their armours compressed, and the bodies of the fire soldiers who lifted their swords were crushed

Seeing that he was busy with these soldiers, the ones in the front line charged at him. Haru waved his hand at the base of the wall. It turned into lava that swallowed the soldiers. They screamed as the hot liquid burned them.

Once he was done, one of the giant tanks with a crossbow aimed at him, and shot. Haru, having seen that even without looking, stared at the crossbow bolt and lifted his eyes. The bolt changed its direction up.

Haru pointed at the tank, and he clenched his fist. The tank compressed before it floated in the sky.

His Metalbending was now at level 19. Haru could control it to the extreme now. Making some stances, the tank turned into a large propeller. It started spinning above everyone. Haru didn't seem to be willing to give another warning, and he shot the giant propeller in the direction of the other crossbows. The spinning giant fan cut them, and on its way, it took almost two hundred lives.

Seeing how the large army of thousands was getting less, the soldiers threw their masks. Instead of bowing, they kowtowed.

Haru wasn't done. He raised his hands, and the remaining metal tanks and crossbows floated.

It was hard to control many things at the same time.

But thanks to his high Wisdom and Physique, Haru had the strength and the vast energy to endure this.

"Please! Don't kill us!"

"We are begging you."

"I have kids!"

Those who came to kill for their honour and pride threw that away when they realised it would kill them.

Haru joined the metal together and made it float.

Bending it, he turned all of the metal into a giant bird cage with a gate.

He used his House Building skill to make this.

And it coasted him 5000 Chi Points to craft such a thing.

"If you want to live, get in. Those who don't, they will be swallowed by this."

The soldiers seemed to be hesitant at first.

Haru lifted his hands. The lava that was behind them started raising, creating a large wave.

The soldiers saw that, and they dashed to the bird cage. Each one entered, not wanting to be burned alive by something superior to their fire.

Compared to lava, their firebending was just a joke. Once everyone got into the cage, Haru used Physical Shift. The atoms of the lava became slower, and thus, it lost its heat, cooling and becoming solid rocks again.

When he looked below the wall, at the metallic large cage, he closed it with his bending.

The soldiers, crowded in that cage, hugged each other. There seems that from 5000 soldiers, only 3000 survived.

Haru turned off the lava pools. Soon, the earth soldiers went to Haru, raising their weapons in celebration.

"Prince, you are amazing!" Praised some general. "I never believed the rumours about you defeating 120 men on your own until I saw how you fight by my own eyes."

"Leave it. That's a story for another time." Haru sighed.

The other soldiers praised Haru, and it appeared their role happened to be minutemen.

"Prince, I have a question." Said the general.

"Sure?"

"If you could defeat them on your own with your skills, why did you have us do all of the work."

"Because I needed you to manipulate the terrain. Cornering them was the most important part."

That was half the truth.

The full reason Haru used his soldiers was that he didn't want to waste unnecessary Chi and time.

"All Hail the Crown Prince!"

"All Hail the Crown Prince!"

"All Hail the Crown Prince!"

The soldiers cheered up for Haru, who then said.

"Bend the earth and take this cage to Omashu. We are going to jail these guys." Haru said. 'They will be used to farm…'

-x-X-x-

Haru entered Omashu. The Cage couldn't make it in, so the soldiers had to use their earthbending to shackle the fire soldiers.

The people of Omashu started cheering up for Haru, happy with his achievement.

Rumours about his abilities spread. They talked about how he could bend lava and metal. They showed him as the most unique earthbender in history.

Haru didn't care.

What can the Fire Nation do when they know that Haru can bend metal or lava.

In Legend of Korra, there were many metalbenders, and it was known that they can't bend specific pure metals.

However, Ozai doesn't know so. The Fire Nation will think of him as a genius.

Giving himself a side note to think of later, Haru's Metalbending reached a very high level. He may start experiencing new things, such as turning metal into dust and using it.

He shook his head and decided to leave these ideas for later.

Celebration yells echoed wherever Haru passed. When the other earthbenders came with the shackled firebenders, some citizens screamed at them. Some threw things at them. But the soldiers just lowered their heads. They will soon fill the prisons. And if there is not enough space, earthbenders can always dig another prison.

"Hehehe… I saw it all. You are a mad genius." Said Bumi. "When were you able to create a wall as large as that and even build a cage?"

"I built several houses in Kyoshi, and it became a skill of mine." Haru shrugged his shoulders. "Now, it's easy for me to build houses of complex types, even the bird houses."

He technically didn't lie. His system gave him skills.

"As if I would believe that." Bumi shook his hand and said. "Prepare for a celebration."

"Not yet," Haru said. "Other forces will join them, we would shoot them away first." Haru thought for a bit and added. "And we have in interrogate the higher-ups. Look for that general, I left him alive."

"You are no fun." Bumi pouted. Haru chuckled. That old man needs to grow up.
