Chapter 71

Standing outside of the village and near the sea, Haru was facing Aang, who had mastered the Earthbending swiftly. It was thanks to Haru planting the seed inside of Aang's head. Some people get that seed through a realisation that changes their mindset to fit earthbending. In Aang's case, it was put in his subconscious, and it was taking effect every day.

Seeing how effective this method in teaching was, Haru thought of delivering it to his kids in the future.

'They will become the greatest sandbenders, who can bend everything. Should I do it Fist of North Style fist and teach the most talented everything? Or should I divide my methods across them… I don't know for real.'

"So. Show me what you learnt," Aang said.

Haru smiled, remembering the notification he had gotten.

[Sandbending up to level 13]

He could use both sandbending movements and earthbending to control dust.

Haru replicated Aang's airbending movements. The dust flew from the earth, forming a spinning sphere. Haru jumped and sat on it. The spinning dust ball carried him as it moved.

Aang blinked twice before he clapped. It was their deal. Haru taught Aang earthbending, and the latter would teach him airbending to the former.

"Alright. Both of our training is over." Haru said. "It's time for me to test your mastery over earthbending."

"Sure," Aang said.

The two of them had agreed to spare now. Haru allowed Aang to use all of the elements he knows about.

Haru had another plan in his head.

Although he wasn't going to fight the Avatar in Avatar State, he would gain a considerable amount of experience if he defeated him. At least, since he was a full master in airbending, Haru should gain what's equal to defeating a very strong enemy, such as Bumi or more since Aang knew three elements.

"Let's fight." Aang extended his hands toward Haru.

"Okay." Haru smiled. 'This is also a test of my power.'

Aang extended his hand left and right, summoning a considerable amount of water from the sea. It formed a shield around him.

Haru stomped, lifting a human-sized boulder, before kicking it toward Aang.

Aang span, sending water stream which pushed the water to the side.

Slamming his palms forward, he sent a few ice spikes from the water.

Haru smirked. Instead of doing any movement, he walked forward. With his bending senses, he'd sensed every movement already. He walked between the shards as if they were nothing. When one was about to hit him, he drew a half circle with his arm, breaking the shard with his hand. Haru's mastery over martial arts was already high. Plus his agility and physique, he was like an unstoppable beast.

Scoffing, Haru looked at Aang, and he said. "Is this the best you got? Be more creative"

Aang furrowed his eyebrows. He became more serious and less pushover ever since learning earthbending. He jumped in the air and his axe kicked the ground. A large shockwave spread in his direction, lifting the ground and cracking it. Haru jumped up. Aang, seeing that, palmed. A compressed invisible air headed at him. Seeing that, Haru lifted his head up. A piece of earth lifted, forming a board that settled on his feet.

At an unimaginable speed, the board moved, allowing Haru to dodge the air. He moved Aang and titled his body to touch the earth with his hand.

The earth decompressed, becoming soft. The dust rose and compressed around Aang, who span quickly and raised in the air, forming a small tornado around him.

Aang moved his hands, sending a stream of water at Haru.

"Well, it has taken a long enough already," Haru muttered. He clenched his fists and punched the ground. A two stories house-sized boulder rose. Haru put his hand on it. From it, many small pieces of earth headed at Aang, who changed the direction of the water to protect himself from the small rocks. Haru smirked internally and compressed a large piece of rock into a small one. It bypassed Aang's water defence and hit him on the stomach. Aang was sent flying to the sky, his saliva leaving his mouth from his mouth. Just as he was about to fall, the rock turned into dust, which swallowed most of his body, and then, he compressed it, leaving only his head to breathe. The rock fell with Aang's head on its top.

"Well, what should you do in such a situation," Haru asked.

Aang smiled wryly and said. "I don't know. Take medicine."

"No stupid, you sink in the earth, try feeling it, close your eyes."

Aang did as he was told and closed his eyes. He started vibrating, and his body sank into the rock. Haru could end him up on the bat. But he let him get out. Just as Aang got out of the earth and stood in front of Haru, the latter smiled. He chopped on his neck, knocking him out in one second.

Seeing that he was just a kid, it sounded bad for Haru to turn the boulder into magma. It sounded bad to use sword techniques or whatever. So he'd chosen to smack him.

[Defeating Avatar on his way to improve]

The system surely had its unique way to tell Haru he had done nothing, and it was right. He'd seen how Kyoshi had fought. A full powerful Avatar isn't to take lightly, and it would take Haru to use all of his cards to defeat him.

With a worried expression on her pretty brown face, Katara ran toward Aang and held him.

"He will be fine, give him a few moments," Haru said.

Katara's expression eased up and sighed in relief. She looked at Haru. "How's he so far."

"Good, he is as good as a master in earthbending."

"You don't mean like you. You obviously looked like you were toying with him." Katara narrowed her eyebrow, not seeming to believe Haru.

"I never said he is as a great grand master." Haru cocked his head and smiled. At any rate, with his mastery over the earth element, he can deal with Azula and her friends.

Blushing slightly when he smiled, she turned her face. "I see. By the way, do you know more waterbending movements?"

"I'm not a waterbender." Haru thought for a bit. He said. "When the moon is full, try to bend the blood of someone."

"Bend the blood?" she titled her head. "Is that possible?"

"Yes," Haru said. Knowing that Katara was so powerful a waterbender that she can defeat a master her age, he said. "If you master that, try to do it without a moon."

As Aang started blinking, he woke up and said. "Where am I?"

Katara smiled and let Aang realise what happened. She stood up, opened her arms, and hugged him. "Thank you for teaching us."

'Is she harassing me? Whatever.'

Haru closed his hand on her head, and he said. "You're welcome."

When she pulled back, she lifted her head and stared at his face.

She knew that he has two women already, and she didn't seem to stop sending him signals.

Instead, she closed her eyes and let her face approach his.

Well, such a thing happens on Earth. The more player the dude was, the higher signals he gets. Some scientists said it happens subconsciously for evolutionary reasons. Remembering what Suki had said about polygamy, he shrugged. He was a good man doing a good deed.

Haru didn't stop her attempt to kiss him. Since he was a head taller, he leaned down, giving the shorter girl away. It's what Kyoshi called back-bending.

*Muah*

A kissing sound was produced. Katara pulled back and stared at his face, her tanned cheeks turning red. Few sparks appeared in her blue eyes.

"I remember! I was knocked out by Haru." Aang yelled, destroying the romantic moment.

"Yeah," Haru smirked.

"Thanks for the spare." He stood up and bowed down. "I now shall be on my way."

"Oh come on, Aang, can't we stay here for a few more days," Katara said.

"No."

Smiling, Haru said. "We will catch up later."

"Sure." Katara nodded, lowering her glance to his chest and smiling.

Aang moved his head between them, his eyes narrowed a bit.

"Well, I'll be on my way too. You guys head east, and you will be in Omashu. Then head north." Haru took a deep breath. "Then, you will meet Bumi, your Old Friend who is 112 years old."

"Bumi is alive!" Aang's eyes sparkled, forgetting that Haru had flirted with his crush. "That's amazing." He happily jumped around.
