"You don't want to go home?" Ashley asked her. She saw Becca enjoying her drink in her cafe, without moving a second from there. She kept looking at her cell phone, which was ringing every fifteen minutes, showing Tommy's name calling her.
Becca shook her head. "No. It's such a shame because yesterday I actually cried in front of him and even reminisced about the days of courting him."
Ashley sighed. Her friend really seemed unable to act as if she didn't care about what happened yesterday. Especially about what she was ashamed of.
"How many times has he called you, Becca? What if he finally finds out where you are? It might not be your private place anymore," Ashley said.
Becca supported her chin with her hand. She sighed and then grabbed her phone. "Well, you're right about that too. Then what should I do?"
Ashley shrugged. "Act as if nothing happened. What's so hard about it?"
