I take a little sip out of my glass and set it down.

"When did you meet her again after the last time I called?"

Leo glances at me and then takes a sip also. It seems like Leo does not want to keep anything away from me so I'll just ask him normally without the interrogation method.

If the need arises though, I would have to force it out of him.

"I met her again about three to four weeks ago. She called me from her husband's..."

"Her ex-husband's house and told me she is done with him and is coming to the hospital."

He sets his glass down and seems lost in thoughts. He chooses his words carefully before going ahead to say them. I could practically see his brain gears turning from trying to figure out how to tell me.

I pride myself in saying that I am the furnace of us three so I understand if he is being careful.
