"Yawn*" Luke let out yawn as he soon opened his eyes and looked around the room. "What time is it" Luke muttered as he got up from his dried-up grass bed. He walked towards the table and saw his son sleeping on the table. "I should make him his own bed" Luke thought as he walked back to his bed and grabbed a mouth full of dried grass. He walked towards the child and dumped the pile of dried-up grass on top his body. "I should also make a blanket for him as well" Luke said as he soon left his cave and climbed up towards the surface.
Once he reached the surface, he could see a familiar lion sitting on ground staring at the night sky. "Why are you out at this time" Luke said as he sat next to the lion and looked up at the stary night. The lion looked at Luke for a bit before staring back at the night sky, "I'm just admiring this scene, since I have never seen nothing like this before."
"Huh, what does he mean never seen anything like this before?" Luke thought for a couple seconds and his eye's widened as he soon realized that it was never night in the cave and that it always day down there. "I can see why he is admiring this scene, since to him it seems like a dream of some sorts" Luke thought to himself as he looked at the night sky.
"Hey, I never asked for your name" Luke said as he looked at the lion. The lion looked at Luke with a confusion written on his face, "what's a name?" Luke looked at the lion with a bit of shock before remembering where he came from, "a name is something you use to differentiate someone from another person. For instance, my name is Luke." The lion looked at Luke before looking at the night sky once more "why don't you give me a name since you're the pack leader?"
Luke looked at the lion before giggling "I'm sorry but I can't do something like that for you." The lion looked at Luke with confusion written all over "why not?"
"A name is something that either the parents of the person could give or the person themselves give, and since I am neither your parent nor am I you, I cannot name you." The lion looked at the sky for a bit before speaking "what are those bright things in the sky?" Luke looked up and saw the bright things that the lion was called "those are called stars, they are giant balls of gas ignited by a powerful flame that are far away from us." The lion looked at the sky and soon looked in the horizon, "and what's that?" Luke looked at the area that lion was looking at and could see the rising sun "that is the sun, it's like the star but it's called differently because it is much closer to us."
"Stars, Sun, ... Sors. I figured out my name" the lion said as he looked at Luke with a grin plastered on his face, "my name is Sors." Luke looked at Sors for a moment before looking at the slowly disappearing night sky. "Isn't that French for get out?" Luke thought as he stared at Sors "I guess it sort of fits since he has an intimidating look that would make people think to run away."
"Ok, your name is Sors" Luke said as he looked at the rising sun. Sors looked at the rising sun as well for a couple seconds before getting up and returning back to the pit. "Guess he's tired' Luke thought as he stared at the nearby facility building. He could see various creatures waking up and moving around. "I'm going to have to deal with them sooner or later" Luke thought as he stared at the creatures with a dominating gaze.
Several creatures flinched as they gelt a feeling dread rush over their bodies. Luke looked at the pit before heading back to his cave. "Before I get rid of them, I'm going to need enough creatures to help me in this plan" Luke thought as he entered his home and saw several Hellhounds sleeping in their burrows. "I need to figure out how well these guys are against other" Luke said as he soon walked towards them. As if by instinct, all the Hellhounds woke up and looked around.
"Hey, you guy's follow me" Luke said as he walked out of his cave and headed to the surface. Confused the Hellhounds followed Luke to the surface and once they reached the surface, they could see Luke sitting waiting for them. "We're going out to hunt" Luke said as he soon walked towards the exit of the facility. The Hellhounds ears perked up as they began to follow Luke with a look of excitement emanating from them. They soon left the facility and began to run throughout the woods.
Many might be wondering why they aren't hunting inside the facility since there are so many creatures there to kill and the answer is simple. It is not allowed to hunt other creatures in the facility. Before the lion or the boy appeared, several creatures began to claim territory of the facility and formed giant packs that made it impossible for other creatures to get any room on the surface. This made the entire facility a safe zone for all creatures since it was now a nesting area for the various packs within their territory. This doesn't mean they couldn't kill any creature in the facility, it just meant that it was dumb and stupid to attack a creature since there was a possibility of the pack to attack you out of revenge. This was why Luke and the Hellhounds got out the facility since hunting outside of the facility was allowed and many packs did not care what happened to those of their pack that die outside of their territory. Of course, some did care, but couldn't do anything about it because this may cause the two packs to clash with one another and end with both of them losing to many members. In a sense it sort of was like a form of government, except it was based off the rule of the strong and smartest ruled and the weak and dumb submitted to the strong.
"We're here" Luke said as he closed all his eyes except for the white ones and began to make clicking noises. Soon he could see outlines of the Hellhounds next to him and further away he could see a Hider hiding in the muddy ground. "Go hunt" Luke said and soon all the Hellhounds ran in the direction where the Hider was at. Within seconds the Hellhounds reached the area that the Hider was hiding in and began to attack the Hider. The Hider tried to defend itself from the Hellhounds by biting and clawing at them, but it was outnumbered and was easily brought down by the powerful bites of the Hellhounds. "They must have a strong sense of smell and hearing to be able to find that Hider" Luke thought as he could see them walking back to him with a dead and mangled up hider in their mouths.
They dropped the corpse onto the ground and looked at Luke with anticipation. "Good, bring some more back" Luke said and the Hellhounds quickly ran in different directions. It should be noted that there were about ten of these guys, so after a couple minutes of waiting there was now at least fifteen corpses in front of Luke. "That should be enough, we don't want to overhunt and accidentally make all the creatures to leave this area" Luke said as he picked up a corpse in his mouth and carried two more with his weapon tail. The other Hellhounds grabbed their corpses and followed Luke back to the facility. They of course had to leave some bodies behind because they were either destroyed to the point where they couldn't be used to eat or were too big to carry back.
After a couple of minutes of walking they made it back to the facility. They opened the doors leading to the facility and walked through the destroyed hallways, all the while be vigilant. They soon opened another door and walked through the giant field towards the pit. As they walked through the giant field, he could see the various gazes of several creatures looking at the bodies that they had hunted. As they were about to reach the pit Luke heard a cry from behind him.
Luke turned around and saw several creatures with horns protruding from their head and several small spikes around their bodies. "Great, bloody Bushers are here to bug us" Luke said as he stared at the five creatures.
Bushers were creatures that were as big as crocodiles and resembled kamado dragons, they have the unique ability to change the color of their pigments. They mainly used this ability to turn into the nearby surrounding and wait for prey to pass near them, they love to hide in bushes mainly because of the shelter from the environment, this was the main reason for their name. Their bites were dangerous enough since they had saw like teeth, but it was more dangerous once they release a sort of bacteria that lives in their saliva into the wound of their prey. They were also very fast to the point where they could possibly catch up to a speeding multicycle and they could run for hours without getting tired. Of course, with these abilities they still loved to bully other creatures of their food and rarely hunt for themselves.
One of the Bushers began to hiss at Luke as it looked at the carcass that Luke was carrying in his mouth. "Oh, they actually want to take my food" Luke thought as he put the carcasses down and began to walk towards them. But stopped when three Hellhounds blocked his way. "What are you doing" Luke said to them in a serious tone.
One of the Hellhounds looked at Luke before saying "you are our pack leader; you do not need to waste your time doing things like this." Luke looked at them for a bit before sighing and just sat down to watch the show. "Go and make sure they remember to never mess with us" Luke said.
These words filled the Hellhounds with a rush of excitement as they looked at the Bushers with a murderous gaze. Seeing this gaze, the Bushers began to hiss at the Hellhounds in an attempt to intimidate them.
"GraAAaaAAgh*"
A loud roar that resembled something alien roaring out loud came from the Hellhound as they slowly walked towards the Bushers. As they walked towards the Bushers, Luke noticed smoke coming out of the area that looked like thrusters. One of the bushers soon lunged at one of the Hellhounds and as a response the Hellhound opened its jaw wide revealing several rows of long sharp teeth that were sort of glowing a bright red color. "Wait are they..." Luke couldn't finish his thought as he could soon see and smell burning flesh coming from the Busher neck.
"So those aren't thrusters, they are vents that the Hellhounds use to get rid of smoke and bit of heat. They probably have an organ that allows them to heat up their teeth that uses a form of combustion and the vents are there to get rid of unwanted smoke" Luke thought as he saw the Hellhound slam the Busher onto the floor before tossing it towards the other Bushers.
The other Bushers looked at their injured allies wound and could see the giant burn and bite mark that was on its neck. The injured Busher could be seen coughing out blood as it breathed wheezily. The Bushers stared at the Hellhounds with a look of horror before grabbing their ally and running away. "This is going to be troublesome" Luke thought as he stared at the Bushers that were running away towards a nearby building, "oh well, I could always use a new organ from those creatures."
