Chapter 13: Confrontation

Ean POV

*Two Weeks Later*

“Ean have you even tried talking to her yet? Because she told me you seem to be avoiding her.” I flinched at Izzie’s accusation. Ares growled in my head, but it was aimed at me because he knew it was true. I had brought her back to the pack house that night, made sure someone helped her get cleaned up, put her to bed myself and then I had stayed by her side the rest of the night unable to take my eyes off her as she slept. Even now I couldn’t believe she was even real, much less that she would be my mate. ‘We did what we had to when we were younger. That isn’t who we are now.’ Ares spoke knowing exactly what was going through my head, it was the same thing that had driven me out of her room after listening to something she had said in her sleep.
