“Any word on her condition?”  Sean barely looked up at me as I spoke, his entire body slumped as he leaned over the hospital bed.  His hands clinging to his mate’s.  “Addie said she would be back for another session once she rested.”  Again, he just nodded but I saw a quiver to his chin though he quickly steeled it.  “If you need anything…” I sighed, my hand resting on is shoulder for a moment before heading out of the room.  Shutting the door quietly I waved down a nurse who scurried over.


“Alpha.”  Her head bowing a bit before she looked up.  “What can I do for you?”


“Why isn’t she healing on her own?  What’s wrong with her?”  The nurse’s eyes immediately glanced towards the door before motioning to step away.  I followed her a few paces away giving her a confused look.
