“Izzie?”  I peered out of the closet I was in scanning the room. I’d heard the door open and close but didn’t see anyone in the room.  It’d been nearly twenty minutes since Izzie had gone off in search of my mother and I was growing more anxious by the minute.  “Izzie?  Are you back?  Mom?”  I stepped out of the closet, the gown I had on making me pay more attention to where my feet were, so I didn’t step on it and trip... again.
