Although she wanted to spend a little more time with her family as a spinster, she couldn't risk her father's health for her desires.
"Lin Ying! What are you saying?" Zhou Yun asked extremely surprised at her daughter's response.
Lin Ying picked her nails with her head slightly lowered but in the next second, she raised her head and her expression looked more determined than ever.
"Mr Chen and I have already agreed to get married as soon as possible. Pushing the date to September would just be a waste of time." her response was bold and clear.
For a few seconds, the room was silent until the sound of someone chuckling was heard.
Everyone turned to look at old Chen and Lin Quan laughed as well. "Seems these two already like each other. We would only be bothering them if we move the date to September." old Chen stated and Lin Quan nodded in agreement.
Everyone else was unhappy about Lin Ying's decision but there was nothing they could do about it.
"How about we check with the priest and find putting which date would be more appropriate for him to officiate the wedding?" Lin Quan asked and old Chen nodded in agreement.
"I'll speak to the priest. Please send me Lin Ying's birth date and the exact time she was born." old Chen requested and Lin Quan nodded.
Time passed and the Chen family returned to their home. Lin Ying also went straight to the hospital after the meeting to meet with her father.
In her room, Zhou Yun lay on her bed tiredly. She couldn't wrap her head around why Lin Ying was so eager to get married. She was 25 years old and Mrs Lin was sure that her daughter knew what it meant to get married.
"Why is she so stubborn?" she got frustrated and sat up. Unknown to her, old Lin, Mrs Song Ting was standing by the door.
"She takes after someone I know." she smiled and walked up to Zhou Yun's bed.
Sitting at the edge, she held her daughter-in-law's hand. "Lin Ying is an adult and I believe she knows what she is doing." sigh..." the only thing we can do is support her in any way we can."
Although Zhou Yun didn't want to hear this, she knew that there was no way she could change her daughter's mind. The best she could do was support her just as Song Ting had said.
Song Ting pulled her daughter-in-law in an embrace. "I'll destroy that family if they make my daughter's life miserable." Zhou Yun stated.
A chuckle was heard by old Mrs Lin. "Don't worry, I've got your back."
The duo laughed knowing that they didn't have the power to do what they just said.

Chen Zhen returned to his office after a brief meeting he had with a client. He loosened his tie as she slumped on his couch.
Following behind him was Tang Lei. "Mr Oh is truly a difficult man to talk to. I wonder how you were able to convince him." he was talking about their meeting that had just ended.
Chen Zhen looked indifferent. He had too much work to do and to make matters worse, his grandfather was making him marry Lin Ying.
Thinking about it, he raised his brow and his lips curved up gently. 'Lin Ying.'
"Oh... You're smiling now huh?" Tang Lei teased him thinking that Chen Zhen was happy about how his meeting went with Mr Oh.
Immediately, the smile disappeared from Chen Zhen's lips. "What are you talking about? Who is smiling?" he asked in denial.
Tang Lei decided no to say anything about the meeting again but he couldn't help but want to talk about the other meeting they attended earlier.
"So are you really going to go ahead with the wedding?" Tang Lei asked and Chen Zhen paused for a moment before speaking.
"Um. Why? Do you want me to get married to you instead?" after saying this, he stood up at went to his desk while Tang Lei strongly denied it.
"What! How can you even say that? Even if I happen to be interested in men, you would be the last on my list." he whispered the last eight words.
Tang Lei got a call from someone and excused himself from Chen Zhen's office.
As soon as he left, Chen Zhen raised a brow. "Lin Ying." he chuckled but in the next minute, his expression turned serious.
"We still have some unfinished business." the pencil on his hand broke after his last word.
Tang Lei answered to call from old Chen. "Yes sir. We just finished the meeting. Would you like to speak with Mr Chen?" he asked but the old man declined.
"The meeting with Lin's family is over. Tell Chen Zhen that the priest has given three dates that would be good for the wedding. I would like him to make a pick." old Chen explained and Tang Lei nodded.
"Okay, sir. I'll tell clear his schedule so that he can come home to have a one-on-one conversation with you," he assured and the old man was happy with him.
The lines got disconnected and Tang Lei went to tell Chen Zhen about it.
When Chen Zhen heard the news, his lips curved up in a devilish smile. 'Seems the universe is working in my favour, unfortunately for you.'
He stood up and picked up his jacket then walked out of his office with a smile on his face.
Chen Zhen went straight to his grandfather's house to talk about the date that was chosen by the priest which was three different dates.
"He said you could either have your wedding September 2nd, August 21st or July 15." the old man explained and Chen Zhen's brow furrowed.
"July 15? Isn't that in three days?" he asked surprised and the old man nodded.
"I think that is too close so we should probably move it to..." he was yet to finish his sentence when Chen Zhen interrupted.
"I will be free on that day. July 15 would be the perfect date." his voice was indifferent for someone willing to get marring in three days.
Even old Chen was surprised. "Huh?" he asked instinctively.
"Let's make it the 15th of this month." was his short and direct answer.
