I woke up today.
I looked down at my non touched breakfast which was rice bubbles.
My stomach growled at me like it was desperate for food or even a drop of water.
I shook it off and made a coffee, skulking that down I scraped my breakfast down into the bin ignoring my stomach desperately wanting it and shutting the bin lid.
My mother walks into the kitchen and finds my coffee on the bench and frowns her very disapproving frown of me drinking coffee as she always did. At first it bothered me but then I just shrugged and walked away.
My brother, Jackson-Rose Turner, the sweetest boy you'll ever meet and one of the best people you'll ever meet, walks to me carrying his bag.
We get on the bus with no words being spoken, he sits with his friends as I sit alone on a window seat until I notice a strange boy running after the bus, I get up leaving my bag behind and begging the bus driver to stop the bus and eventually he does. And the guy gets on and thanks me with a small smile.
I walk back to my seat and put my headphones on to ignore the world as I normally do, when one of my brothers friends throws 1 piece of a jam sandwich at my head, it gets stuck in my hair. I turn around and see my brother looking guilty standing there but he didn't look like he felt guilty.
Still he is the best person you'll ever meet, I swear!!
I take the piece of bread out of my hair and put it beside me, and unplug my headphones and put them back into my bag. I take a photo of my hair and attempt to remove it but it wasn't budging.
A small tear sheds down my face but I quickly wipe it away.
The boy from earlier comes over, he moves the slice of jam bread away and scrapes the jam or well at least most of it out of my hair and flicks on the ground.
We stop at our station and he is done. We are sitting in silence until I get up. He follows and tries to quickly follow me but it doesn't work. I'm fast when I am awkward.
