A Conversation With Meg

"No, I'm wearing a dress like this because I like it," said Rosie, shifting her body to the side to keep her distance from Meg who was watching her from head to toe.

"Rosie," Meg called again.

"Yes?"

"You're keeping a secret?" the girl asked, making Rosie frown.

"Secret? What secret?"

"Who knows? Maybe you have a lover?" Meg asked, glancing at the girl occasionally.

Rosie kept a calm face, then smiled. "That's none of your business, Meg. Besides, I'm not in the mood to talk about men right now," she said, hoping Meg would stop talking about weird things. She wasn't comfortable talking about those things anymore.

Rosie didn't want Meg to use her to ask something about Aslan and then imagine her husband again.
