After A Delicious Meal

She rubbed her sore hand. It hurt so bad, but the pain didn't just come from her wrist. It was from her heart. Rosie felt her heart being pinched every time she told a lie to Aslan. It felt like she had betrayed Aslan's trust.

Rosie realized that there was an invisible tension in her and Aslan's relationship right now. Ever since she turned down the man's wish to have sex earlier, Aslan looked more troubled even though he didn't show any expression on his face at all. 

Aslan was still looking at Rosie with a sharp gaze, and it made Rosie a little uncomfortable. It wasn't that she was embarrassed, but rather because she felt like her every little move was being watched. It made Rosie feel that if she lied one more time, Aslan would know it right away.
