May Is Awake

Rosie stood up too with a heavy belly. She grimaced as she felt that it was really hard carrying her own body now. Even so, she still wanted to thank the member of the revolutionary army who happened to own the tavern on the island. After all, the man had helped Aslan and Rosie to fill their stomachs.

The man who owned the tavern was very kind because he didn't ask Aslan for money at all nor did he think the food they had eaten was a debt. On the contrary, after Aslan said that in the future he might return once a week to go to the sea to catch fish and sell them on the Big Island, the man offered Aslan a free lunch every time he came here.

Rosie promised to bring the man a piece of bread or a cake she made as a thank you.

After leaving the tavern, Rosie wanted to sit for a while because she couldn't carry her body, which felt much heavier. Aslan took the initiative to squat down in front of the girl.

"Come on up. I'll carry you."
