Chapter 5 Lillian gets bullied

Lillian POV

It's been a month now and everyone else's eggs have hatched except for mine. I'm not worried though for I feel an extreme amount of power coming from this egg. Even my best friend's egg hatched into a shadow fox which could turn into a semi mythical creature. She seems worried that I might have picked up a dud. When I told her that I can feel the aura of the beast inside and that it feels strong, she would say that she believes me. However sometimes I catch her with a pitying look in her eyes. Some of the other students also look at me with pity. Then there are others who love to taunt me.

Third person POV

I heard someone talking about Lillian so I moved closer to hear what they were saying. " Do you see that Lillian's beast egg hasn't hatched? I bet that her egg is actually a fossilized egg and won't even hatch. She is so pitiful. She'll never be able to get into a good college. Everyone knows that you have to have a good beast to get into even the cheapest college." Yes in this world every thing depends on beast's and their strength. Then another person chimes in saying that she has no talent. Then another person says that she has a rotten egg and that any day that it will explode all it's rottenness everywhere. Those people are truly mean. Yet there are even some that say things like this in her face. However I have never seen her cry or get upset. She steadily has a calm expression on her face. I truly admire her. I'm really hoping that the egg hatches soon and that the creature inside will be extremely strong to make them shut up.
