Chasing Night

"Does it really taste delicious?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Do you want to taste it?"

Kenji quickly shook his head as he shoved his spoon in his mouth. "Mint chocolate makes me want to puke." He said.

"Stop being dramatic," I said as I offered Kaoru a spoonful of mint chocolate. "Here, try it." Kaoru looked at Kenji, but that guy ignored Kaoru, and he was forced to take that spoonful of mint chocolate I gave him. He quickly drank water right after that. Maybe some people have lower taste buds. Let's just accept that.

I shrugged as I ate my mint chocolate happily. After Kenji finished his ice cream, he drove us back home. Kaoru started talking about his experience back in Japan, where he won a popsicle stick after just winning something random raffle. It was fun listening to him because of how he told his story. "What did you do with the popsicle stick then?"
