So rich as to be almost decadent

There was a governess working for the D'Amico's, she flitted in and out of the kitchen, and sometimes talked with some unseen maid to clean up here or there. It was her who served their meal, on a shaded dining table outside in the kitchen's balcony with yet more sky as background and the city teeming below.

Guilherme, Letícia and Sara all sat with their backs to the glass windows, facing the view of the cloudy sky. Ivo and Davi sat together in front of them. The Governess, Dona Ana, served the family first, starting with Guilherme, Letícia and then Sara, before moving on to them.

The meal was to be a "light one", of only "four courses". Ivo tried not to stare as Dona Ana arranged a fine confection of olives, lightly toasted bread, and sun dried tomatoes on his plate, which she then drizzled generously with olive oil.
