The Train Stops In The Woods (Chapter 8)

In the previous Chapter 7,

Michael accompanies her. "I will take out the metal when it's safe."

Elisa says, "Okay."

Suddenly, there is a sound, they can hear the sounds coming from the previous cabin.

Joe look and prepare the weapon in his hand.

Robert takes the weapon and prepares.

Elisa quickly grabs the weapon from the box which Robert had installed without him realizing it.

Michael is in the next cabin and he thinks it would be better to do a partition in between the cabins with metal walls just in case. But now he quickly takes out his weapon.

Elisa sees there is something underneath the weapon and she quickly takes it when Robert is not looking.

Michael hides behind the wall in between the cabin. He looks at the previous cabin intensely but he knows the metal wall he created is only temporary since he didn't use nails on it.

Michael thinks this also isn't a permanent situation maybe he should drill a door in the cabin so it can access outside if the train stops. But it would take some time to create a door.

Michael thinks how come only these 2 cabins don't have a door for the outside to access? Is it someone who created this on purpose? (There's no explanation.)

DONG DONG DONG!!!

The doorknob isn't turning at all. That means it's not human. These sounds are from zombies. There tend to knock on the walls or doors.

The thunder and rain can be heard, even though they are in the cabin.

Joe turns around and asks, "Your metal door can withstand how long?"

"No nails it should be unless than 30 minutes, depending on how many zombies leaning against the door."

There is a thunder and lightning strike on the train.

Cause slight vibration on the train.

Joe, Robert, Elisa, and Michael sway left to right, front and back.

"It hit on the train!"

The electricity seems to be affected. The lights getting dim.

Michael says, "Should I remove the metal door?"

Joe says, "No, wait. The train has been struck by lightning which could cause the zombies some confusion but they are not dead unless they are burn-in fire."

Elisa says, "Then how? We are not going to be trapped here forever are we?"

Robert says, "Just wait for a while to see any more movements."

They have no choice but to wait.

Suddenly, on top of the train roof "Bang!"

Elisa got shocked, she quickly covers her ears.

"Sounds like something is banging on the top."

"Hey, at this rate will the roof fall on us? Shouldn't we do something? Like create a door or take off the metal door to see what's going on outside."

Joe takes all the weapons he puts them in his bag and the bullets.

Robert quickly grabs the other side of the box of bullets and put it in his bag.

Elisa quickly moved toward Michael without Joe and Robert noticing.

Michael says, "We should stay together, he opens his palm. Let's hold hands so we can run together."

Elisa holds Michael's hand tightly.

Michael gripped Elisa's hand.

Joe says, "How do you open this metal door, Michael? Michael, where are you?"

No one answered Joe.

Joe turns to Robert, "Where is Michael?"

Robert says, "No idea, let me go find him."

Robert looks at the next cabin and realizes Michael disappeared. Robert walks back to where Joe is standing.

Robert says, "Michael is not in the cabin and Elisa seems to disappear with him."

Dong Dong Dong!

Joe says, "How did they disappear in this enclosed area? It's weird but now if they are gone we have a problem here."

Robert says, "Now is not the time to think this. We either go out or we stay here."

Joe says, "Should go out fight since we are good fighters and at this rate, the rooftop will crush us."

Robert agrees with Joe.

Joe point at the metal door, "How do we open this metal door?"

Robert says, "I don't know but we can try that door. I purposely seal this door because I came in from this door earlier on."

Joe says, "Then why just now you never say anything about this matter?"

Robert says, "Is it necessary because I am hungry, thirsty, and tired I just want to rest and sit. I am tired of fighting out there. Since there are food and drinks here why not just stay here for a while? If it's not the rooftop makes noise I don't want to go out."

Joe says, "That's true but the supplies here are really useful for us. We won't know if we get to board this train again."

Robert says, "Hey, Bro stopped being sentimental here. We need to find Michael and Elisa."

Robert opens the door and the exit door is open.

After Joe walks out of the cabin.

Robert seals back the door.

Joe looked but didn't ask anything.

Robert and Joe hold the weapon and prepare if there is any zombie they will shoot.

Robert and Joe notice the train stopped in the woods.

The area's all trees.

It's a perfect place for zombies.

They walk together with the front and back in a style formation.

They realize the surrounding is very silent and the rain is making them wet.

Joe and Robert look at the train rooftop and notice there is nothing there.

The zombies all are at the far end and they seem to attract by the lights that the lightning gives.

Robert quickly opens the cabin door and pulls Joe in and shut the door.

They are drenched wet because of the rain.

Joe says, "What are you doing?"

Robert says, "We should stay inside now because we are all wet and there isn't any place to hide since it's all trees and we can't be hanging on the tree all the time."

Joe says, "That's true. But the zombie will come here if the rain stops."

Robert says, "That might be true, but for now we need to dry ourselves. At least we have a shelter here and there are food and drinks."

Joe says, "I wonder where Michael and Elisa go?"

Robert says, "They will return here if they have no place to stay. Anyway, we only see part of the surrounding since it's raining we won't know if there are houses ahead or not."

Robert and Joe take off their clothes and press the rainwater on the clothes. "It's soaking wet."

Robert says, "Did you find any touch-light or lighters?"

Joe says, No."

Robert says, "That's bad. We only have weapons, food, and drinks.

Joe says, "Make sure you shut the door right because those zombies out there look a lot."

Robert says, "Don't worry, but if it's Michael and Elisa return here they might figure out how to open this door."

Joe says, "Although now isn't the time to ask but I want to know, how did you survive the last fight? You mentioned to them I saved you but I didn't."

Robert says, "You know after you separated from me I wasn't sure if I could stay alive but I run as fast as I can. That fellow is crazy."

Joe says, "Who is that fellow?"

Robert says, "Didn't you see him before?"

"What are you talking about now?"

"Oh, you mean that guy carrying a long sword?"

"Yes, that fellow. I realize he is blind. But his hearing is very good."

"Oh, really that's a good thing you get to know his weak points."

Robert asks, "Now, it's my turn to ask you Joe are you, my buddy?"

Joe breaks into laughter.

"If I am not your buddy then who is?"

Robert takes a look at Joe's arm.

"Then where is the tattoo?"

Robert takes his gunpoint at Joe. "Now tell me the truth."
