BEGIN

One month had passed since Ember gave birth to Yaretzi, and Jayden approached Ember, who was changing Yaretzi's diapers.

"Ember I want to tell you, today I'm going to the spirit world."

She was shocked and turned to look at him. This is the first time he tells her that he will go to the spirit world. She feels weird because he never mentioned it before.

"F-For what? Why suddenly?"

"Actually, I will occasionally visit the spirit world without your knowledge, but only for a brief moment. But this time I'm going for three days. Something happened in the White Fox Clan village."

Three days? He will go for three days. I'm going to miss him. She sighed and responded with a melancholy expression.

"Alright…"

"Don't be sad. I'll have Aubrey accompany you here so you don't feel alone. I'll also hire guards to keep an eye on you while I'm gone, because I'll be accompanied by Xander. Xander won't be here either."

"All right, be careful. Okay, just for three days. My heart can't wait more than three days."

Ember showed a pouty expression, and Jayden thought she looked cute, so he pinched her cheeks.

After putting Yaretzi to sleep, Ember comes to find Jayden, who is preparing to leave for the spirit world. She is also curious about how they will go to the spirit world.

"Jayden..."

He turned to look at her and approached her, holding her in both hands.

"Ember, what's the matter?"

"I just want to see you before you leave."

Jayden smiled and kissed Ember on the forehead.

"I'll see you soon. Take care of yourself and our daughter."

"Ok," she said, and hugged Jayden tightly. Jayden releases the hug and is ready to go.

"Let's go, Xander, open the portal."

Xander pointed with his index finger, and a blue portal appeared. Xander entered the portal and vanished. Ember was stunned to see the scene. Is this for real? But how? How can this portal appear? How do they do that? Ember walked to the back of the portal to look, but there was nothing behind the portal; the front and back views were identical. Jayden is intrigued by Ember's curiosity and confused expression.

"Are you that curious? We had the ability to open a portal that connected the spirit world and the human world. That's why we can go back and forth as we want. We are spirits. That's why we had the ability. Stop with your confusion. I've got to go. See you soon."

Jayden poked her forehead with a smile and then he entered the portal. Ember stands still with her blank expression, and the portal vanishes once Jayden enters. She had come to her senses after Jayden left and vanished.

"Uhh... he's gone. Haizz.. What's wrong with me? Of course he had the ability; he's not a human. Sometimes I forget that he was different, and sometimes I think he was a human."

"Whom are you talking to?"

Aubrey asked after he saw Ember standing and talking with no one around her. She had just arrived at the mansion.

"It's nothing… I'm just not in my right mind."

Aubrey was shocked after Ember said she was not in her right mind.

"Huh! Are you sick? Are you tired of taking care of Yaretzi until you can't think properly?"

"No! You're misunderstood. I don't mean it like that. You see, hmm... Jayden and Xander went to the spirit world, and just now I saw in front of my eyes, Xander opened a portal, and they entered the portal, and they vanished in front of my eyes. To be honest, the scene shocked me. I think I'm dreaming right now, but I'm not. I had no idea portals existed, but they did. It appears that this life is full of miracles."

Aubrey remains silent while listening to Ember's explanation; her face shows a dissatisfied expression and she's whining.

"Oh no! That's unfair... I should come sooner. I'm late because of the traffic jam. If I arrived here earlier, I'm sure I could see the portal. Aahhh!! I also want to see the portal for real, not just in a movie. I want to see it live."

Ember stared at her with a straight face. Yeah, I forgot. Right now I'm talking to some fantasy fanatics. Of course, she didn't feel anything about it except that she really wanted to see it.

"Ahh... Just forget it. But next time I'll make sure I can see the portal. Oh! Where is my niece?"

"She's sleeping."

"I'd like to go see her sleeping face." Aubrey walked to Yaretzi's room, and Ember followed her from behind.

Jayden and Xander arrive in the spirit world. There are some small changes in their bodies. Their nails grew longer and a bit sharper, and their skin turned pale. The environment there is also very different from the human world. Everything about this place feels like it's from the 18th century. The spirit world is divided into four provinces. EAST GRATORIA, NORTH ABINGORA, SOUTH EXTRAVAGAN , and WEST THERONDIA. Jayden lives in the province of South Extravagan. This place is divided into several places. The White Fox Clan Village is home to the White Fox Clan. Other villages are inhabited by other clans. There is also a nearby town visited by all the spirits living in this province.

When they arrived at the White Fox clan village, they were greeted by Luca. He was a man with blond neck-length hair and blue eyes.

"Welcome, sir, Jayden."

"What are their current conditions?" Jayden asked while they were walking.

"Their condition is improving after treatment."

"Bring me to them."

Luca nodded and escorted them to their destination. They enter a small building. In that building, there's an infirmary room. Five fox spirits were injured and lying on the bed.

"Sir, these are the victims who were hurt by the Dark Fox clan."

Jayden went to see one of the injured, a man with brown shoulder-length hair and greenish eyes.

"Willfred, what happened?"

"Sir Jayden, The Dark Fox Clan. They are constantly wandering around our village area, and they also attacked us while we were guarding the village. They are also constantly causing chaos in the human world through their evil actions. Their chief is quite violent. He tortured and killed members of his own clan without mercy if they didn't obey him to kill another spirit."

"So it was their chief who started the chaos."

"Yes, I'm worried they'll attack this village while you're away. As you know, their chief is dangerous because his nails are poisonous. The poison has the potential to kill. So some of our white fox clan don't dare face him."

Xander frowns and speaks with a serious expression.

"Poisonous nails? But that wasn't an excuse to be scared. We, as the white fox clan, should protect our clan. There's no time to be scared."

All of the injured foxes lowered their heads after seeing Xander's expression. Jayden's face was also filled with rage.

"Hmm... I'm really looking forward to meeting him. I think I should stay here for the time being."

Jayden is in a house. The Braxton family owned the house. While he was sitting and thinking about what he should do to the Dark Fox clan, Fabian came to see him. Jayden heard the sound of footsteps heading towards him, and he turned to look.

"Dad, where are you from?"

"Your mom and I went to the Red Fox clan." Fabian said as he sat down in a chair.

"We told him you already had a child. When he heard about it, he was glad and exclaimed, you can break free from the curse."

Fabian smiled as he told him, and Jayden's face was beaming with surprise.

"Does this mean I am no longer under the Curse?"

"Hmm... He didn't say anything about it. But he told me to take Yaretzi into the spirit world when she reaches the age of one month."

His expression changed instantly when he heard about taking Yaretzi to the spirit world. He responded with a worried expression.

"Bring humans into the spirit world. Is it safe?"

"Yaretzi is not an ordinary human. She is also a fox spirit. Half human, half spirit."

"However, I'm still concerned. The situation here, in particular, is different. I mean, it's more dangerous here. What if the Dark Fox clan comes to attack?"

"Everything will be fine, Jayden. You have negative thoughts."

"As a father, you must understand how it feels to be concerned about your child's safety, right?"

Fabian just sighed and remained silent after hearing Jayden's words and seeing his serious expression.

The next day, they gathered with the elders in the council room. Jayden, Xander, Camilla, Fabian, and Luca were among those present. Jayden's grandfather is the Village Chief, Largas Braxton. He has amber eyes and short brown hair. His face appears to be around 50 years old, despite the fact that he is already 300 years old. Malika Matteo, another fox spirit, is 285 years old, but she appears to be around 40 years old, with long curly hair to the waist, golden brown hair, and dark green eyes.

Ermias Zeke, age 250, has dark blond hair that reaches his neck and brown eyes. Reyka Tanner, who is 280 years old, has black hair that falls to her shoulders and grey eyes. There were a total of nine of them in the council room. Largas starts the conversation as the chief village with a serious expression.

"We've gathered here to talk about Jayden's daughter, who is also my great-granddaughter."

"Did Jayden's daughter come here soon?" Ermias questioned them.

"According to the head of the red fox clan, Jayden's daughter should be brought here when she reaches the age of one month." Fabian explained it to them.

"Because of the human children brought here, we must be cautious because the scent of their bodies will attract the attention of the enemy." Malika forewarned them.

"But isn't she half human and half spirit? It appears that the scent on his body as a human has diminished." Reyka expresses her opinion.

"However, we must be cautious because human blood is still flowing in her body." Malika was adamant.

Jayden is silent because he is unhappy and less willing to bring his daughter, Yaretzi, into the spirit world. Jayden, who was sitting beside Camilla, whispered to her.

"About this, Mom. I also need to speak with Ember."

"Of course you have to tell her. But I'm sure Ember will understand."

But Jayden sighed, an unhappy expression on his face. Jayden's expression drew Largas' attention, and he inquired, "Jayden, is there something bothering you?"

Jayden didn't want to make things complicated, so he just hid the truth. "No, not really."

"Luca, make sure the entire village is safer. Surveillance should be increased in this village." Ermias gave the command.

"Yes, sir, Ermias."

Reyka looked at Fabian and asked, "Since Jayden's curse will be broken, shouldn't you have to return to the spirit world?"

"We'll talk about it later. This is not the time to discuss it."

"I hope you are not affected by living in the human world because you have been there for a long time." Reyka tries to remind him with a frivolous face.

"Anyone who lives there will be affected. But don't worry; we know what we're doing." Camilla responded, attempting to assert the situation.

"Hmm... if there's nothing to talk about, we can disperse. Fabian, you're staying here." Largas informed them. Except for Fabian, they all exited the council room.

"Father, what do you want to say?"

"Make sure Jayden brings his daughter here. He appears to be hesitant." Largas expressed his thoughts after he saw Jayden's reaction.

"Jayden is only concerned about his daughter's safety. I'm sure he'll bring his daughter here."

"Hmm... but you have to be strict with him. What if he changes his mind?"

"Yes, father, I'll remind him. You don't have to worry."
