Unfortunately, when I got up in the morning, Mr. Jones's vehicle was not in the driveway. I remember at that moment that he had made a comment that he was leaving for a few months. And he had given me his email address so I could write daily journals to him. I had thought it was a weird request when he had asked me to do it, but now… it did feel like a good thing.
Though, I felt a bit shy about it as I sat down at my computer and tried to figure out what to write and how to write it. I stuttered out some sort of a letter… a weird hello and that I was okay and that I was heading off to school, and then a goodbye. I went to close my computer, but a chime told me that I had gotten a response. Mr. Jones had messaged me back almost immediately. I could tell that his words were firm without even having to hear them.
