Chapter Twenty-Six: Holiday Rewards

Mr. Jones smiled. "Hello, Becca. I wanted to surprise you."

"Well, you did," I admitted with a flush.

"Good," he replied, touching my chin gently. "You don't have to keep calling me Mr. Jones, you know."

I looked at him, startled. "What do you mean?"

"You keep calling me Mr. Jones, and while I adore your need to show respect. I really prefer either Sir or my name," Mr. Jones explained.

A flush rushed up to my cheeks. Call Mr. Jones by his name? Could I?

He stepped close until I was forced to look up at him. Caught by his intense gaze, I felt the rest of the world melt away, and it was just the two of us.

"Say it, Becca."

"Say what, Sir?" I asked breathlessly.

"Say my name," he ordered me.

"Oh," I flushed. "Noah."

His name came out in a breathless caress, feeling beautiful on my lips.

He smiled. "Good girl."

Noah stepped back, allowing me to breathe once more.
