Chapter 46 - In His Bed

The Beach.

The sound of the wave.

The coldness.

Then just as suddenly as she crashed into her dream, it all disappeared.

She sat up quickly, her breaths ragged and fast, her chest raising and falling as her hold around the pendent of her necklace resting against her neckline, became tight.

She threw the quilt aside, putting her leg down on the floor, feeling the position she had been in before, now as a really vulnerable one.

That had happened only for a spilt moment, but she could feel fear crawling all over her.

The wind blew through the curtain making it rise midway in the air, and she jumped up in fear.

Then she heard the drumming of the rain against the window glass. Her heart racing, she stood up and shut it immediately.

It felt cold and the rain only reminded her more about the Beach, like as if the Bride Thief was still coming back to pull her into a dream, and that this time she wouldn't be able to break away from it.
