They ran struggling and using their energy to reach the rope ladder as soon as possible because the cages around the half-circle wall lifted open in which the zombies ran and chased them. Tessa emitted her sound force as if she had no limit.

“Up!” Tessa pushed her sister. “Don’t be slow,” she urged. Her heart almost stopped breathing. The girl just looked back at her in sadness.

“Tess, please follow me.”

“Up, Oslo,” she told the redhead.

“And you, and Wade?” He looked for his friend. Wade was running and he aimed at the ladder next to her.

“I’ll go. Don’t worry.”

Oslo did not want to leave her behind.

“Go now!” she urged. “I take the next one.”

“Right. Hurry.” And he climbed up behind Minnie.
