Chapter 7: Give a shot?

Present -

"Eros?"

Eros turned around to look and ..

"Ana?"

There were a lot of feelings when their eyes met but Eros; her eyes held feelings of being ashamed. But Ana on the other side looked at her with the expressions of contentment. Ana took her in arms for a big warm hug.

"Oh God, what a surprise this is!" Ana squeezed her in hug. "I missed you so much" She finally let Eros go from her grip.

"I'm happy to see you" Eros smiled at her but a smile that was keeping a lot of sad words.

"Can we go to nearby café somewhere so we could catch up?" Ana suggested to which Eros agreed.

"So you also moved here. I am not surprised having you here, standing in front of me, honestly. This is your home place". Ana took a sip from her coffee as spoke. Old days.

"Yeah. I completed my course and Mia graduated as well so we decided to move on" Eros sighed as she looked outside the window.

"Any particular reason?" Ana questioned her expressions changes from 'amusement' to 'soft' as she was trying to learn how Eros is without actually asking Eros how she is. "And you even cut off the contacts? No one knows you are here"

"There's no particular reason. You know how hard it was for Mia to pay the rents and all but here we own a house. So yeah, at least we don't have to worry about the rents." Eros mouth curved for a smile "And about the contacts I lost my cellphone once I came so didn't catch up with anyone."

"You are lying" Ana raised her brow suspiciously.

"And why would I lie?" Eros did not love the conversation. She wanted to run away. Run away from all the things that were taking her thoughts to the past. To him. To something or someone she left with the wish of never looking back.

"You would have looked up for another ways to contact me. My mail or any SNS. You could have approached me by any ways. But only if you wanted to." The last words Ana said stabbed the Eros heart and she felt guilty. She was wrong when she decided to leave Ana. Ana was everything she had but then at that moment she just wanted to protect her. She wanted to protect the people she loved. She didn't want that angel face demon to take them from her but in the end he had won by taking them away.

Eros was struggling with her thoughts or words, fighting battle of what to say and what not when a phone ring bell. It was Ana's.

"I have a date." She said politely before taking up the call.

"Yeah. I am there." Ana spoke on call. "Well Alex can we-" She looked at Eros confused.

"Its ok. You can go." Eros smiled at her. "I'll see you later since now we are at same place again." She gave her a satisfied smile.

"Okay, I'll be there in a minute" Ana hung up the phone.

"See You again then" She was about to leave when Eros quickly got up and hugged her. "I missed you".

"I missed you too." Ana patted her back "Let's see each other again soon."

Eros walked by the road as her thoughts roam from past to present and from present to past. She always missed Ana and she always meant those words when she said she wanted to stay with her for a long time but then - then everything turned out to be something she never expected.

Flashback -

She sat under the tree on the wooden bench in a cold evening thinking about Ana's advice from the café earlier. She knew Ana was right at some point when she said that she is another fan to Eugene and there's almost zero chance of her being with Eugene. Thinking about having some connection with him just makes no sense. She just fell for his voice and that’s it. She somehow hated her feelings for Eugene; it makes her look like a psychopath kind of fan.

And Orion? She sighed heavily as she turned her thoughts to Orion; when she met him for the first time. How unique his eyes were as he had both double eyelid and mono-lid, which added to his exotic beauty. She smiled recalling his eyes were all she gets to see in her first encounter, an unexpected encounter. His face had striking aura and his smile was different. He attracted her and she never felt those sensations like she felt around him. Whenever he was around the world disappears to her, she recalled how she ended up leaving hall in her welcome party. Is this love?

She was struggling with her thoughts when a voice spoke taking her out of trance. “What a great co-incidence”. He adjusted himself on a bench at a fair distance. Taking a sip from his coffee he looked at her with his usual bright smile. “We are having so many co-incidences like this these days” Orion raised his brows while Eros just rolled her eyes. She was not ready yet to have this meeting, she still has to think about her feelings; she has to collect her mumble jumble self.

“I think it’s nice” Orion took another sip. "What this beautiful lady is doing in the beautiful evening?

"I'm not old enough to be called as lady" Eros gave him an annoyed look. Orion laughed his mouth wide open, lips forming a perfect rectangular shape and Eros noticed how pure and soft he looks whenever he smiles.

"Okay then I'll go with shortie. Shortie. Yes that's what I'll say" Orion eyes lit up with the happiness as he formed a nickname. Eros just looked away scrunching her nose not giving a required attention.

"Getting bored?" Orion asked as he noticed Eros not reacting the way he expected.

"Kind of"

Orion stood up from the bench and Eros followed his movement with her eyes and head to look up at him.

“Let’s go” He held out his hand from his pocket and extended towards her. "Let's have fun" Eros blinked at him trying to figure out what he wants from her. “Where?” A soft voice came out of her mouth as she asked. “On a walk with me.” He smiled at her shrugging his shoulders while she struggled with her thoughts of what to do. “Give Orion a chance” She recalled Ana’s voice in her head.

“Okay” She stood up, ignored his hand and walked ahead.
