Chapter 4

I ran to the trees after my shock was gone. When I knew he couldn't see my I shifted and kept running. I ran so much I didn't know that I was on the vampire territory till I ran right into one. I didn't realize how scary they were till I was right in front of them with no combat training. I scrunched down and let them see the terror in my eyes. I knew that the number one rule is not to let them see you scared but hey what do I have to lose, maybe somewhere in their dead body they have a heart that would let me go, but I could die and never have to think about being tied to Paul for the rest of my life. They slowly came closer and he smiled.

" Look at this scared werewolf on our territory" said a girl vampire with red fiery hair. She snarled and I knew that I was done for. Soon I heard the trees rustle and Paul came out in his human form.

"Let her go because she just got here a few days ago and didn't know about the treaty till right now" Paul said coming to my defense. I looked up at him for the first time in my life and was grateful.

"Come on shouldn't you have told her when she first got there and now you won't let us eat her" The girl vampire who I'm now calling fiery red said with annoyance

" Well that's the thing, we only tell the werewolves and we didn't know that she was a werewolf because she never told us so she didn't do a crime" Paul said

Then someone stepped forward that I didn't know was there. Sebastian walked up and I was shocked for the second time today.

"Let her go. If she didn't know then it's not her fault and then you can't eat her or you will be starting a war you can not win" I loved my new brother in law even if he was a vampire. I also wondered how Paul knew I was here in the first place. Then I heard a small voice in my head.

"The link we share is how I knew where you were and the only reason I came was because I could feel your terror" I knew right away that it was Paul speaking because I could feel him smile right beside me. He quickly shifted and we ran back to our territory and all the way home. We walked in and everyone in my family looked scared to death.

"Paul said you were in trouble and ran out the door. We were so scared" my sister said with a frown on her face. I looked at Paul and hit him.

"You weren't supposed to tell them I was scared you idiotic person" I said with a frown. I knew they would be to worried if they knew what just happened so I went to my room and laid on my bed thinking about the past things that had just happened.

I must have dozed off because I woke up from a knock on my door. Paul was standing there with a smile and walked in as soon as he saw me looking at him only slightly conscious.

"Care to tell me why you ran right on the vampire territory when you knew that you couldn't go there" He said and concern laced his words

"I wanted to go for a run and I kinda lost track of where I was and where I was headed. Next thing I know there are vampires wanting to eat me and you show up right away like you were following me and made everything okay." I said with a small smile

"I still don't forgive you though no mater how many times you rescue me" I say with a frown thinking about two years ago. This relationship was going to take time but we had all the time we needed. We had forever if we needed it and one day Paul or I will die and the other one will be sad but die after. We will have eternity with each other if we keep shifting but one day we will have to stop and live without our werewolf side. I still loved him no matter what and even though I was still dating Toby I kissed him. I could taste him and feel his body come right beside me on the bed. We were finally one again and I knew somewhere in my heart he would never do anything to hurt me again.
