Vivienne took out two China bowls from one of the cabinets and placed it gently on the black marble countertop. Two champagne flutes followed. Remembering that her wine cellar contained a few drinks, she made a mental note to refill it later during the week. A bottle of Romanée Conti was laying on the wooden rack and as she extracted it, she heard the doorbell ring.
She walked quickly out of the wine cellar and placed the bottle of burgundy beside the champagne flutes.
Hurrying to her door, she checked the monitor and saw Jenkins distinct jet black hair. Smiling, Vivienne opened the door as she welcomed him with a warm hug.
"Long time no see, Viv. It's so nice to see you." Jenkins said, walking into her apartment and looking around. He was dressed casually in a navy blue t-shirt and dark jean pants. Anyone seeing him would think he was the regular working class guy. Jenkins had a lot of money. Something he never tried to show off.
