Vivienne ignored the feeling of surprise that washed over her when Luis pulled her into his arms. Rather, she basked in the warmth of having someone to hold her while she cried.
Luis sighed and rubbed her back but he said nothing. He had nothing to say to a lady who was crying hours after being assaulted by a strange man. He was glad that he had been able to come through for her no matter how much dislike he had for her.
Vivienne clutched his jacket and kept crying. She was shaking now as she let the tears pour out in torrents. When she remembered that she was crying in the arms of a man she disliked, she pulled away, wiped at her tears, and immediately apologized.
