Breaking Nie Li's Connection With Ye Zong

"Why are you requesting such a condition, Sir? What connection do you have with my dear daughter?" Ye Zong inquired, his curiosity evident in his voice.

"Shen Yue, the young master of the Sacred Family, is my benefactor. He requested my assistance in defending the Snow Wind Family against this Dark Guild attack. He expressed his concern about not being able to meet with Miss Ye Ziyun due to her recent punishment. I'm here on his behalf," Alan replied, disguising his voice.

Ye Zong and the members of the Snow Wind Family wore perplexed expressions.

They found themselves in a difficult situation, torn between the Alchemy Association and the mysterious youth.

Ye Zong was hesitant to offend either party, but he recognized that he had to make a decision at this crucial juncture.

At that moment, Nie Li stepped forward, speaking with urgency, "Wait! City Lord, you can't agree to his condition! If you do, the Alchemy Association will sever its agreement with you and cease selling pellets. It will be a substantial loss. I also promise that the next time the Dark Guild attacks, they will pay the price. We won't require this individual's assistance at all!"

Ye Zong's face hardened as he stared at Nie Li, about to chastise him for speaking out during such a critical moment. However, Alan casually glanced at Nie Li and spoke up, "From this attack, the Dark Guild has realized that a single Legend Ranked Abyss Demon isn't sufficient to defeat the Snow Wind Family. This implies that next time, they will likely send two or more Legend Ranked experts. How do you plan to defend the City Lord's Mansion then, given that you couldn't do much today?"

"I'll establish a large array and control it to deal with them all!" Nie Li replied quickly, not wanting to concede in their exchange.

"And what if they attack before it's ready? How do you intend to control an array capable of eliminating Legend Ranked experts with your current strength?" Alan posed his next set of questions.

These questions left Nie Li somewhat speechless. He retaliated by saying, "I don't need to explain my methods to you!"

"Very well," Alan responded calmly, turning his attention to Ye Zong. "City Lord, I leave the decision to you. I'll respect your choice, and I hope you'll do the same."

Ye Zong took a deep breath, clenching his fist as he said with determination, "Starting today, I will lift my daughter's punishment."

He then turned toward Nie Li, his tone firm. "The Snow Wind Family is ending its agreement with the Alchemy Association. Inform them."

Nie Li found himself utterly dumbfounded by the City Lord's decision. Meanwhile, behind his mask, Alan wore a sly smile.

Everything was unfolding just as he had hoped.

Soon after, Alan received notifications from the system, rewarding him with numerous Celestial Points for successfully severing the alliance between Nie Li and Ye Zong.

"I appreciate your decision, City Lord. You can count on my support in future Dark Guild attacks. I have one more piece of good news for you: I will be breaking through to the Legend Rank in a few days. You can expect significant assistance from me," Alan declared.

His words sent shockwaves through both Ye Zong and his comrades, as well as Nie Li and his group. The idea that this young individual, who had already reached the Black Gold Rank, could ascend to the Legend Rank in a matter of days was almost too outlandish to believe. Even Nie Li, with his knowledge of a past life, had never witnessed such a feat.

Yet, what was even more bewildering was that none of them doubted Alan's words. His tone conveyed the assurance that he could indeed accomplish this extraordinary feat.

After successfully persuading Ye Zong, Alan activated his Shadow Devil ability, disappearing into thin air.

He reappeared at the location where Ye Ziyun had been hiding, and with a warm smile, he removed his mask.

Ye Ziyun's face lit up as she rushed into his arms, embracing him tightly. "Yue! You're back! I was so worried about you!"

Alan gently held her, his arms enveloping her as he reassured her, "I defeated that monster and rescued your family, including your father. Thankfully, none of them were seriously injured."

"Really? I can never thank you enough, Yue," Ye Ziyun exclaimed excitedly, expressing her gratitude by planting a kiss on Alan's lips.

Alan teased her playfully, saying, "Why talk about repaying favors between us? You're already mine, after all."

Blushing furiously, Ye Ziyun nodded, her heart swelling with affection. "You're right. I'm still so grateful."

Alan then added, "I didn't reveal my true identity to your father and family. Instead, I told them that I'm working on Shen Yue's behalf. So, don't let my secret slip. Also, here's more good news: I convinced your father to lift your punishment. You're free to leave the mansion now. We can be together openly."

"Thank you, Yue," Ye Ziyun said, her eyes filled with love and appreciation. "If you weren't here, I would have lost my father and all my family today."

"No probs," Alan replied with a grin.

As Alan and Ye Ziyun parted ways, he made his way back to the Sacred Family, while Ye Ziyun returned to the City Lord's mansion from her hiding spot.

In the City Lord's mansion, Ye Zong embraced his daughter, narrating the details of the day's events. Ye Ziyun listened with rapt attention, her affection for Alan deepening with every word from her father's mouth.

Meanwhile, Alan reached the Sacred Family and headed to his room, where Shen Xiu was patiently waiting.

Once Alan had settled into his room, he turned to Shen Xiu, his tone authoritative. "Bring Yang Xin to my room."

Shen Xiu, ever the obedient servant, promptly followed Alan's orders. As she moved to fetch Yang Xin, she couldn't help but add a hint of seductiveness to her steps, swaying her hips provocatively before exiting his room.

Yang Xin had been diligently overseeing her duties as the director of the Alchemy Association when Shen Xiu arrived. Startled by the unexpected visit, Yang Xin's expression bore a trace of apprehension as she listened to Shen Xiu's words.

"Yue is calling for you," Shen Xiu informed her with a hint of mystery in her voice.

Upon hearing this, Yang Xin's face turned slightly pale. Without wasting any time, she followed Shen Xiu, a mixture of anxiety and curiosity swirling in her thoughts, as they headed to Alan's room.

Upon reaching Alan's door, Shen Xiu knocked gently and announced Yang Xin's arrival.

Alan's voice came, "Let Yang Xin enter."

Shen Xiu held the door open, allowing Yang Xin to step into Alan's room. As she entered, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of trepidation and anticipation.

Alan's room was dimly lit, with the curtains drawn to block out most of the daylight.

Yang Xin could barely make out his silhouette as he sat in a chair, shrouded in shadows.

Alan's voice broke the silence once more, filled with a hint of command, "Close the door, Shen Xiu."

Shen Xiu did as instructed, shutting the door softly, and leaving Yang Xin and Alan alone in the dimly lit room.
