Chapter 2: Good morning World.

Stepping out of the elevator cladded in an all black outfit, her uniform for the Institute but covered up with a large pink coat, she walked out and nodded at the receptionist, who greeted her cheerfully.

"What a thick coat for a sunny day," she said to her co-worker with a hushed voice.

"Well, ain't she a weird one," her friend answered.

"Yeah, tell me about it."

Ignoring their gossip which she could hear with the supposed whispering, she exited the building and saw the car waiting for across the apartment building.

"Why not just park in front of the building, gosh, arghhh." She hissed out eyeing the car.

Looking up at the sky and around her, she breathed in the air that she hadn't received for the past one week and said out loud with her arms stretched out, " Good morning, World, this bitch is back again."

Seeing the light on red, she started crossing and was about to step her last foot on the pedestrian lane but felt like something wasn't right.

Where was the kid with books crossing the road with me now?!

She turned and got her answer, he had dropped his books and was trying to pack them all with the light already on green and hell ya, a crazy car was coming at full speed towards him already.

"Shit!" she cussed out and ran to the boy immediately, grabbed him and the remaining two books, he was about to pick up and throw him before the car could reach them but was hit instead.

JUST GREAT!!!! Ha fu@$#.

Even the men in the car waiting for her did nothing. Of course they were busy in their own world!

A new day that she had planned to see through as a new one just got ruined by a stupid accident and now she was five minutes late!!!

The boy was so shocked that the pretty lady that saved him was lying dead on the road, bleeding on the head but was also looking annoyed, even in death?

Everything came to a stand still as no one expected the weirdly dressed lady to save the young lad and die!!

The driver of the car that hit her, ran towards her immediately with shaking hands and tapped her, calling out to her,"Hey, lady, O my goodness please, don't die on me, holy shit, please wake up," he said as he continued shaking her and tried to check her pulse but then his hand was grabbed and he gasped in shock.

Even the boy that she saved picked up his books and ran. The dead came back alright!

Opening her eyes slowly to adjust to the sunlight coming down on her face, she stared straight into the most captivating dark orbs that she had ever seen, and these beauties were someone's eyes, well I'll be damned.

He stared right back at her but it seemed like he was searching for something. She frowned when she noticed that and also that he was wearing a face mask. Weirdo!

The sirens of the ambulance and the police on patrol coming towards them from the corner of her eyes brought her back to earth, 'yep, I'm so late.'

So she abruptly stood up and walked towards the waiting car while cussing the men inside the car only to have her arms held.

She turned and saw that the weirdo was holding her arm.

"Please, let go, am fine, okay?" she assured him with a fake smile gracing her pink lips.

" But you're bleeding, let me at least take you to the hospital," he insisted pointing at her head.

"Don't worry, like I said, am good, just be careful not to kill someone for real next time." She said curtly. Pulled her hands out of his, she turned and strode towards the car as she heard him conversing with the police officer and heard him explain that he thinks his brakes were tampered with, since he couldn't control it.

She still had a foreboding feeling from him but left it as that since he liked wearing masks,so many people do that, she said as she entered the car.

Facing the men in the front seats who were obviously unaware of her presence as they were busy with their x-rated movie than focusing on their job, she sat up, placed her hands on their two seats and," BOO!!!" to which they shrieked in horror on their faces.

"You both are dead meat," she said smiling cutely at them and oh with a devilish smile indeed.

Sitting back comfortably, she instructed," Start the car, duh! We're already late."

Feeling off, she turned back but didn't see anyone but still felt like someone was watching her.

And he was indeed, from the very building she came out from.
