Chapter 10.

"Wait, so if I'm the granddaughter of a God what does that make me?" Medea questioned and Orb morphed into a double helix, "You are 50% because of your mother. 25% God and 25% Oceanid from your grandfather and grandmother. In short, you are a genetic masterpiece." Medea was shocked about the truth of her genetics.

"I have one more question, what's an Oceanid?" Orb morphed into a beautiful woman and began explaining, "Oceanids are powerful nymphs that are able to control massive amounts of water with ease."

"What does that mean for me?" Medea asked. Orb morphed into Medea and explained once again, "You, unlike your father, completely inherited the abilities of your grandfather and grandmother. As I said earlier, I expected your abilities to awaken once you turned 16 but your anger, and note this is a small theory of mine, but the fact that you came in contact with another god's power, may have forcibly awakened your abilities."

"So what can I do? Will I be able to shoot fireballs and make huge tsunami waves?" Medea excitedly asked and she began acting out her abilities, "Yes you will, just not right now. You see, with godly abilities, especially those of a demi or quarter god such as yourself, age plays a big factor. The older you are, the more powerful your abilities become, and since demi and quarter gods don't age past their prime, you can become as strong as your grandfather and may even surpass him."

"Me? Surpassing a God? No way!" Medea paced back in forth at the thought of surpassing a god, "Do know that surpassing him is a large maybe and will take hundreds if not, thousands of years to do so."

"Clearly that's no problem for me! As long as I don't do anything really really stupid, then I'll be fine." Medea said with a big, naïve, smile. The Orb, a being who thought they couldn't sigh, almost sighed.

"Anyways, I believe your helicopter is landing which means you should wake up now." Orb said and they forcibly awoke Medea.

"Medea, are you all right?" Hilt asked with concern, "Yeah I'm fine," Medea didn't pay attention to Hilt and looked at Elektra who was staring out of the window.

"Ele, how are you doing?" Medea softly asked and Elektra gave her a dry reply, "I'm okay."

Medea wanted to press further but decided to give Elektra her space, "Alright. Let me know if you need anything..." Medea went back to her seat next to Hilt. The rest of the short ride was in silence and the helicopter soon landed at the Null Order HQ. Elektra quickly got off the helicopter and ran to her room.

Medea witnessed her best friend's state and clenched her fists in anger, small flames were created and the air around her began to heat up, "Vasileios that bastard!" The flames in Medea's hands began to grow, "When I catch him I'm going to burn him alive!" Medea's anger reached a breaking point and she fired a plume of flames out of her hands.

"Woah..." Shortly after, Medea passed out. A few hours later, Medea woke up to the blinding lights of a hospital and she heard the EKG monitor beeping.

"Dea, you're awake!" Elektra shouted with worry from the right side of Medea's hospital bed, "Ele, what're you doing here? You should be back in Athens mourning your father's death..."

"I-I don't want to return to Athens," Elektra said as she began looking down, "Ever..." she whispered. Medea put her hand on Elektra's hand and comforted her, "I promise you that we will find Vasileios and his goons and we will tear them to pieces."

Elektra didn't reply and hugged Medea tightly as she began crying, "Thank you, Dea. I really mean it!" Elektra cried which made Medea cry as well and both girls were crying in the hospital room.

Soon they calmed down and the room fell into a comfortable silence. This went on until Elektra spoke up, "Dea, can you promise me something?"

"Anything Ele," Elektra smiled and spoke again, "Can you promise not to leave me? Can you not leave me as my mother, father, and brother did? Please?" Elektra tearily asked.

"I promise!" Medea shouted which made Elektra smile again, "Thank you. As proof of our promise I bought these," Elektra pulled out two silver necklaces. One had half a ruby heart and the other had half of a sapphire heart. Elektra put them together and in the light they shined purple. Elektra put the ruby heart around Medea's neck and Medea put the sapphire heart around Elektra's.

"Best friends?" Medea asked and Elektra shook her head, "No, sisters." Medea was a little shocked but smiled soon after, "Sisters." Elektra and Medea smiled as their life-long sisterhood was created. A sisterhood that would soon show the world who's boss...

[5 years later, Manhattan, New York]

"Dea! Wake up, we're going to be late for school!" A beautiful black-haired girl, Elektra, yelled into a dark room. Medea groaned as she slowly got up, "Remind me again why we have to go to school? We're assassins, not scholars."

"Because the Order can't teach us everything! And I'd like to have a normal life for a little while. I wanna do what kids my age are doing." Elektra replied as she got dressed for school. She was dressed in a white blazer, a black skirt, black stockings, and black shoes. Along with her sapphire half-heart necklace.

"That's a valid point, although, I wish people would stop staring at us so much," Medea said as she also got dressed for school. She wore a black, long-sleeve dress with a green coat, black socks, and black boots. She was also wearing her ruby half-heart necklace.

"Ah, the queen is finally ready for departure!" Elektra playfully bowed which made Medea roll her eyes and smile, "That I am, is our carriage ready?" Medea played along, "Yes it is milady, right this way."

Both girls laughed as they exited their apartment and saw Charles outside waiting in the car, specifically, a Rolls Royce. Charles opened the door for them and began driving them to school. Little did they know, their "normal" lives were about to come to an end...
