Ch 2 Anywhere (9)

"I don't remember saying I did." Goliath's eyes softened but I wasn't sure why. Well time to take a chance.

I stepped closer letting the hand in Goliath's grip move behind my head. The only surprise I saw was a brief blink before I leaned in and kissed him. He had started to lean back but stopped himself as my other hand slid behind his neck to where he had prevented my other one from going.

I felt him growl but it wasn't dangerous. He let my wrist go and picked me up so that I could put my knees on either side of him and look down on him if I had wanted. I took a moment to look down into his amber colored eyes. I found it interesting that he let go of me as soon as I was over him. Did he want to make sure I knew I could stop and get away if I wanted? He didn't look away from me though as I paused to pull my hair back with one hand. Before leaning in to kiss him again.

I snaked my hands down his front, pulling up on his shirt. It came untucked with almost no effort. His scales shown in the light and I expected them to be rough but they weren't. They flexed under my touch and were smooth, and soft. Softer than I thought I human would be with those muscles. My hands explored lower but one of his hands grabbed both of mine in a firm grip. His other one flashed behind me to prevent me from falling as I broke off the kiss to look at him.

"Damn, woman." Goliath was breathless and took a moment to get it under control while I just sat watching him. After his breathing had slowed he looked me in the eye. "You want this?"

"Yes." I was careful to maintain eye contact while I answered. The kiss had been more exciting than I had expected and I didn't want him to stop me. Something told me that if I had seemed anything less than sure he would have stopped me, thinking it was for my own good, no doubt. He probably would be right too but it was at least half my own choice. Goliath seemed like the type of man that might decide something else was for my own good no matter what I choose though.

"Humph," Goliath removed the hand that had been keeping me from falling and then pushed back on my hands. I didn't let him move me at first, he could easily push me off but instead he paused. "You are too close to my weapons, let me put them away, and lock the door."

"Alright." Goliath let my wrists go as I slid off the desk, under my own power. I could feel his eyes on me as I walked over to the bed and sat in the middle. When I turned to look up at him, he shook himself then stood going to the door. The door opened and for a moment I thought he was going to run away form me. His shoulders tensed and he looked around outside the door but then he set the two empty plates outside in the hallway.

It was hard not to breathe a sigh of relief when he turned and entered something into the panel next to the door. The door slid shut with a quiet hiss and the light in the room dimmed. Had he set a private mode? I tensed a bit thinking that Ravine might be watching us right now. Did that bother me enough to stop this? I could stop this but I didn't want to stop.

Goliath went to the closet and removed his jacket and weapons. He left everything else on. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. After a pause to relock the closet he turned to look at me. "You sure, She-u?" I nodded once. "Not good enough, my lady."

"Yes, I am sure, my master." I wondered if Goliath could see my smirk in the dim light.

Goliath took a step closer but caused my heart to skip a beat as he paused again. What could be the problem now? "You can see my scales."

It wasn't a question. It also wasn't about me. I wished he would share why he hates the green scales so. If I knew maybe I would know what to say. "You aren't a monster, you have had more than enough chances to be a monster."

In a blink Goliath went from being by the closet to being over me on the bed. "You don't know me." I fell back against the bed hard. He was trying to scare me.

Goliath hadn't touched me, he was careful not to touch me. He wanted me to run from him, or to be able to run from him. "Still didn't say I do, but you cannot use that power against me remember."

Goliath's breath was warm as he snorted. "You will tell me what you want, or I will stop."

I leaned in and kissed him on his lips. He didn't let me in this time, and I leaned back. "As long as I start something it is what I want. I will tell you if you are starting to be too rough, but you will have to trust me to speak up. I cannot tell you everything. Can you accept that?"

Goliath leaned in so his mouth was just inches away from my ear. My head turned making room for him all on it's own. "Yes, mistress, I can live with that." I swung at him but he caught my wrist lightly before it connected. "Do be careful, my lady, that would only hurt your hand."

I jerked my hand but it stayed firmly in his grip. He was watching for my reaction, so I smiled at him. "Good, Greenie. I would hate to think you aren't getting something out of me using you for my own ends."

Goliath pushed my arm back against the bed and I let the rest of my body follow it. My head just missing one of the pillows. He was still very careful, but he learned quickly that I wasn't that breakable, even if he was more protective of my side than I was.
