Edward's lost Entry: Silence in the Winter

Our entire unit sat around the campfire on December 25th 1944, to wait for any further orders after the whole battle in the forest.

As we sat there with our soup meal in our mugs, it was a silent meal between us; now that we had lost Daniel during the battle back in the forest, we were down to just five of us.
