Author's Reincarnation in a Fantasy Setting

The evening had passed and the sun was now down, leaving us in darkness. The only light present in the sky was from the moon and the glow coming from the portals.

Fortunately, it was a full moon thus the night was not completely dark. It would have been a real pain in the ass if it was since that would put us at a disadvantage against the demon beasts.

"Say, for how long will we have to walk like this?" Req asked with a tired and bored expression on her face.

"Hmmm, I'm not sure myself. But I'd say at least for three days," I replied.

"Three days?!! You're joking, right?!"

"Come on!!! I'll die by walking for this long!"

"You won't. I've never heard of someone who can survive a fall from the sky but not walk for a few days. Also, it's only been thirty minutes since we started walking."

"That's not what I'm talking about! I mean, I won't literally die but that just makes it even more boring."
