Extra: The Regimen

My daily training regimen for the past few months, and hopefully for the foreseeable future, was really helping me develop both magic and sword arts. Everyday, right after I wake up, I stretch out my muscles so they won't cramp. On the first few days, I made the mistake of not stretching, and my muscles would cramp severely. It hurt a lot, so a couple of minutes of stretching was definitely worth not having to deal with that pain.

After completing my morning stretches, I would change clothes and then maintain my weapons. Gluttony was picky about that, and Envy's envy forced me to give her the same treatment. Polishing them was par for the course, both before and after training. Depending on family plans, I would either eat breakfast and then train after or train first and then have brunch.

Following a specific man's training routine who was well known for his deadly one-hit KO punches, my warmup went as follows:

100 Sit-Ups

100 Push-ups

100 Squats

10km Run

After doing that for a couple months, it truly became a warmup, but before that, it was hell and I had to ramp up starting with only 10% of that. So, 10 sit-ups, 10 push-ups, 10 squats, and a 1km run.

Once I had finished my warmup, I would take a fifteen or so minute break and drink lots of water to regain my physical constitution. I would then move into more specialized training. Each day was slightly different, but the core regimen remained the same, which was as follows:

100 Sword Slashes

100 Arrows Fired

At least 25% had to be bullseyes

1 Hour of Mana Control Training

2 Hours of Elemental Magic Mastery.

At least 15 minutes of each element

Specific types of sword slashes were dependent by day, or it was sometimes replaced with mock sparring with my father. Whether it was side slashes, top slashes, or something else entirely was kind of up to my mood.

Using the Bow and Arrow was a bit hard for my size, but I got used to it fairly quickly. Though the requirement was 25% of bullseyes, I needed to hit at least a 700 or greater or I'd have to restart that part of the regimen for the day.

Mana control training was to help me get ahold of my monstrous power, so it often involved meditating. A side product of that, however, was a high sensitivity to stimuli when needed which was good for reconnoitering an area.

Finally, the last two hours were devoted to Elemental magic training. With fifteen minutes devoted to each element, At least an hour and a half of the time was devoted to the seven archetypes. The rest of the time was devoted to whatever I felt like advancing that day, and that normally went a little over the time limit which was totally fine by me. I literally had to do some doomsday prepping after all.

Once all of that was done, I would wipe off the sweat with a damp towel and change yet again. Overall, it took around five to six hours to complete, but I had nothing better to do. And I wouldn't necessarily do it all in one sitting. Sometimes I would break up the practical skills from the magical skills if need be. And I'd do this training regimen every day, unless I had to go into town with my parents to pick something up.
