Book 2 - The Usurper from the Wilds: Chapter 11; The Terrible Two

The screen turns on as the next chapter title plays "Chapter - 11; The Terrible Two".

They're now in the hall of mirrors, as they walk up to the Pomefiore dorm mirror portal.

There are two main steps up to the mirror, it has a red carpet leading all the way to the back of the wall with a bit of the purple stair's color peaking out on the sides. Along the pathway there are also a couple of crystals lying on the ground arranged in sections of three or more. Then on the two side walls there was a hanging wall candle on with a purple flame helping to illuminate the area.

Then the main mirror was actually rather basic, as the most interesting thing it had was a border with a middle part that had a zigzagged and crossed pattern. While there was a little extra decoration of a stone peacock sitting on top with it's tail feathers going around the mirror adding a little more detail. And the last detail for the mirror was the emblem of that dorm with what seemed to be, supposed to act as a collar faking to support the emblem.

Then as they walked in it swirled and glowed as it teleported them to Pomefiore dorm.

The dorm itself was a giant castle, with a tall gate surrounding it, that had some apple detailing. There were many a plants and apple trees within the gated area as well as outside of it. The castle itself was just as you'd expect made of stone but the roof was made out of a more purple-indigo color. The most interesting or unusual part was the giant banner that hung from the entrance, although it wasn't very clear and the main things that were able to be taken away was that the main banner was red with the main point of attraction being what looked like a purple shield due to the distance and height of the banner. But once walked closer it was able to be made out to be the Pomefiore dorm emblem.

They then headed inside to the lounge which was fancy beyond belief.

Everything was gold, white, or a royal purple-blue. The entire dorm seemed as though it was based on the Victorian era. With the giant rug that covered most of the floor, the rug was white with a black border and flower detailing in the same royal purple-blue. The chairs were mostly sofas or single seaters, all of which the main color was that royal purple-blue with the wooden supporting parts being painted gold. There was a little indented part with red curtains, although right now pulled aside able to cover up whatever is there. Inside was what seemed to be a throne. It was pretty low on the group with the main cushion seating spot in the royal purple-blue while outer parts were more of a baby blue with some bronze addition or detailing. Then atop that was a white beautiful peacock with some baby blue fluff right around it's neck. Then it had mostly gold with a bit of white at the base feathers going around the back of the seat, of which all of the feathers had a blue gem at the top-most part of it. There were also many chandeliers and fancy candles all around with some flower arrangements sitting on seemingly random but specifically chosen tables.

Cater tells them "Let's start here, at Pomefiore. There's a junior named Rook Hunt who's really caught my eye. He has a blond bob cut and a fedora – you can't miss him." Riddle nods at what Cater said as he comments "Rook is an exceptional player. He performed extremely well in last year's tournament."

Before almost flinching back or becoming pensive as he adds on "But he is a bit of an… off duck, one might say."

Deuce then points at one of the chairs with someone sitting on it asking "Oh, is that him sitting over there?"

As it shows three people.

One being Vil the another being the feather hat and blond haired boy from the cafeteria when Cater and Trey were helping to introduce the dorms and the last being the one almost all of the people at their table in the cafeteria that day thought was a girl.

Ace looking over quietly shouts "Whoa. That dude's, like, a glitter bomb in human form. He's basically sparkling."

The hat one, now addressed to most likely be Rook says to the one thought to be a girl "Non, Epel, non. When you lift your teacup, do not insert your finger through the handle. It is most inéléant." The one originally thought to be a girl or now known as Epel due to Rook says "Oh…Right. I'm sorry." Vil sighs while looking in between a mirror and a make-up palette as he complains "I just cannot decide how I want to do my makeup on tournament day! I'm thinking maybe that new foundation from Felicity Cosmetics?" Rook laughs with a "Oh ho ho!" Before saying mostly in French "Mon belle Vil, the Roi du Poison… Surely your beauté is not so faint that you need makeup to shine?" Vil has a satisfied but confident look on his face as he says back "Of course I don't. But I don't dare miss an opportunity to accentuate it further!" Rook then compliments "I admire that passion. Magnifique! Très magnifique!"

Grim overhearing the conversation with the others asks doubtful "Uhhhhh… And you're sayin' this guy is some kinda incredible athlete? Somehow, I doubt he's gonna be the target." Cater then says slightly embarrassed "Yeaaah, maybe we should peace out and move on."

As it switches to them in the courtyard of the school as Cater tells them "Next on Cay-Cay's big list of potential targets are Jade Leech and his twin brother Floyd. They're both sophomores at Octavinelle House. Word is, they work so well together on the field other teams don't know how to counter them."

Cater then points in a certain direction as it shows what are presumably the Leech twins.

They both have teal hair with a black streak at the front, the neater one with the school uniform properly on has his on the left side. While the one with the messier uniform that isn't even put on properly is on the right side. They have switched heterochromia as well, with both of them having their yellow eye on the same side as the black streak as the other eye that is more of an olive green on the other side. They also have an earring that is three blue-teal gems, both of which wear it on opposite ears with them putting it on the same side as their black streak of hair.

Grim quietly shouts out "Whoa! They have, like, the exact same face!" Ace then asks "Is it just me, or do they make all the other students look tiny in comparison? They're giants!"

As it then zooms out a little showing their heights as the one that is more put together is around 6'2 and the messy one being about 6'3.

Grim then states "I could see that being a big advantage for 'em." Deuce then asks "So what do we think? Could they be in danger?"

Riddle is extremely annoyed at seeing them, or at least one of them as he confidently states "I don't know about that. If I were the culprit, I'd save them for last. Just look at those two. I wouldn't want to get anywhere near them–" as his voice tips to be more on the angry side with some venom dripping in as he finishes with "-especially Floyd."

But they seem to have been too loud as one of the Leech twins heard them.

The messier one's eyes almost light up as he sees Riddle and says "Oh ho ho! What is UP, Lil' Goldfish?" Riddle then seems to go almost into a panic mode as he shouts "Bwah! He spotted us!"

He then starts to walk up with the other close behind. The messier one asks "What brings you to our humble abode, huh? Playing hide-and-seek? Sounds like fun."

The messier one then seems to try and grab Riddle but fails to as Riddle was able to dodge in time.

Riddle then tells the messier one of the twins "F-Floyd… I've asked you several times to stop calling me by strange nicknames."

Now knowing the messier one is Floyd means that the neat one would be Jade.

Floyd leans forwards down to Riddle's level as he tells him "But you're so small and red!"

Before going back up slowly asking "How are you NOT a goldfish?"

Grim leans into Yuu as he whispers to her "This guy seems like he's a few cans short of a tuna casserole…"

But Floyd seems to have heard something as he looks over the Yuu and Grim as his attention has entirely moved on from Riddle.

Floyd then seems to gasp excitedly as he says loudly but not to the point of yelling "A talking cat? Now THAT'S something you don't see every day!"

He then walks over to Grim who ended up backing away kinda slowly.

Before Floyd asked him with a bit of a mischievous and malevolent look in his eyes as he asked with a strangely happy tone of voice that ended up having a dark undertone due to what he asked "Can I squeeze you 'til you pop?"

Grim then fully backs away hiding behind Yuu as he yelled "Uh, no?! Stay away from me, weirdo!"

His twin brother, Jade, finally arrives on the scene as he says "My, it would appear a contingent from Heartslabyul House has paid up a little visit. Here to assess the competition in advance of the Spelldrive tournament, perhaps?"

Cater then tells Jade, sweating slightly "Nah. We…can't really go into it, though."

Jade then tells them "We take a dim view of spying at Octavinelle. I would ask you to justify your actions, suspicious as they are. And please, spare no detail." As the aura of the conversation changes entirely, that it now screams to run away, despite him asking in a polite and friendly tone plus manner.

Ace then says quietly "This guy sure talks fancy, but man, his eyes are stone cold."

Cater then yells out to the Leech twins "Man, would you look at the time? Gotta run, guys! It's been real! Byeee!"

Before they all of them start to run away with the leech twins chasing after them.

The screen fades to black and "To be continued" shows on the screen before it's turned off.
